  1. Yup it was the fuel pump. $830 later. And STILL the idol drops at stoplights! UGH
  2. It next to impossible to access from under the truck. I cant remember how I opened up the tube in the car. it was a year ago. I had to peel back the rubber boot around the tube on the floor. It looked intimidating but once i did it it was easy.
  3. Ok so my 04 Cayenne S idle was dipping when i stopped at stoplights, so saturday I swapped out the air filters and cleaned the throttle body. I used carb cleaner sparingly on a clean rag. I cleaned it on the truck, I didn't remove it. So I was very un-intrusive. It was running great the rest of the day, drove about 35 miles. Then Sunday morning, it started lugging, and dying. Fought for about 15 miles trying to get back home before it finally quit. Had it towed to my mechanic. He has reset the codes and unplugged the battery to no avail. Runs for about 30 seconds then dies. He said the fuel pump shuts off, then right when the motor is about to die it turns back on, sometimes in time to keep the engine running, sometimes not. So now I have to have it towed to the dealer because he figures they will see codes his equipment doesn't. Any ideas??
  4. I had to deal with this when I bought my Cayenne last year. Water on both front footwells and even flowed to back via the rear floor vents. There is one screw holding a panel under the glove box. remove that panel (unplug the floorwell light). Then you will see where the AC drain exits under the dash. there will be a rubber collar around the tube where it meets the floorboard. Find something you can run down the tube to remove the blockage. I used a quarter inch wooden dowel. Once the blockage was cleared i never had the issue again. 15 minute job. Good Luck
  5. Just rephrased my search and found a thread. Sorry for the clutter. were you able to resolve this? I am having the same issue with my 04 S. Was it the throttle body?
  6. Thanks, I'll take a closer look this weekend (weather permitting). I"ll update if and when i get it resolved.
  7. Hey everyone, I bought my 04 Cayenne S back in August and and am just now deciding to deal with this issue. When I use my Headlight washers, the driverside washer pops up and stays up. It wont retract. Anyone else dealt with this before? Is tis fixable with a cleaning or is something broken. Right now I just push it back down and it stays down until my next use. I probably look pretty cool driving around with my R2-D2 bumper :) Thanks!!
  8. Loving my Cayenne S

  9. Thanks! The bottom was easy, it was the back that was tough. Once I got the Salvage yard guy out of the way i was able to get it out in a couple minutes. When I swap it out this weekend I will take pictures and post the install. Thanks again for the PDF
  10. Ended up having to buy a whole new backseat at a salvage yard, but The guy and I cant get it out. I don't want him to destroy it. Anyone done this before or have any diagrams?? Thanks!!!
  11. Removed the Armrest yesterday. Took about 10 minutes, no tools needed. Here are a few pictures, maybe they will help someone else. The cover peals back pretty easy, its tough down around the hinge, but it will pop loose. The clip in picture 2 pops off with your fingers. The last picture in the right hinge, tilt the console up at about 45 degrees and you can actually look down and see the pin, just angle it up and pull it our of the hole in the hinge. Hope this helps.
  12. Wow see I was right, you are the man! I"ll give it a shot and post how it goes. Hopefully not too bad, now that I have this. The salvage yard gave me a whole back seat for $200 so if I break something at least I have a back up :) Thanks again!!
  13. No Problem, from what i've seen on here you are the man. :) Its in the middle of the back seat. Folds down for an armrest and contains storage inside. I attache a picture of it. I'm just wondering how difficult its going to be to replace. Thanks!
  14. Hey, Just bought a 04 CayenneS. It has a rip in the leather on the rear armrest. The repair shop wanted $300 to $400 to fix the leather. A new one is only $250. I have found a replacement at a junk yard, but does anyone know how to remove the armrest? i've scoured the internet with no luck. Thanks for your Help! Aaron
  15. I just purchased a 2004 cayenne and wanted to remove the door ashtrays. Did you get your project done? How difficult was it? Thanks
