  1. I want to purchase the excellent looking grills for the front air intakes on my 997 made by cargraphics. The British importer, Stuttgard Connection tells me that the bumper assembly needs to be partially unbolted to ease the grills into plce from the inside and that a competant body shop should oblige. I am due to take my car top France next week and dont have the time to arrange a bodyshop fitting. Does anybody know if it is a straight forward task for a reasonable do it yourselfer as I can get the parts delivered by the weekend and could put some time over the weekend to fit them. I have some concerns about rubbish damaging the radiators housed in the inatakes and the grills look god also. Thanks
  2. Hi I need to remove the roof switch for my 997 cab. Can anybody help. Thanks Jonathan
  3. I'm a fan of Zymol. Concours is expensive but you have a pricey motor so why not spoil it. Best thing about Concours is you apply with your hand - its great for your skin and gives a wonderful shine. Jonathan 997 Cab tip (UK)
  4. Hi I have a new 997 cab. On my previous cab I had installed BahnTechs one touch gizmo for the roof control and found it very helpful. I kept the unit when I sold the old car and have been in touch with Bahntech to see if they manufacture a unit for the 997. They do not but have asked me to remove the roof switch and see if the connectors are the same. If so they can reprogramme the unit and hopefully will be in a position to market the unit for the 997. I am in the UK and BAhntech are in Florida! For obvious reasons I want to be extremely careful about removing the unit. Has anybody experience with removing the central console of a 997 tip? Jonathan
  5. Thanks but with the roof down is it possible to tell the difference. Is it the law of diminishing returns. Jonathan
  6. Hi all I am due delivery of a 997 cabriolet in April ( in England ) and have to decide soon on final specs. I am debating as to whether the Bose upgrade ( £750 / $ 1300) is really worth the cost especially in a cabriolet given that the standard UK car comes with an upgraded sound system compared with the 996 cab standard. I am not sure if the Bose system is standard on the USA 997 I was reasonably happy with my facelift cab with the basic sound system. More keen to listen to the engine than the radio but on long trips my wife likes music! Can anybody advise. Thanks in advance Jonathan
  7. I am trying to hard wire my MP3 disc player to my CDR22 and have purchased a connector for pins 13-20 and have connected pins 18 19 & 20 as suggested by the retailer. My CDR unit doesn't recognise the MP3 as an input. What am I doing wrong or is it not possible to conncet the unit. My MP£ unit is an Iriver. Your help would be appreciated Jonathan
  8. I have an ipod type MP3 player - an iriver which has 40gb of music - have tried using a mini fm transmitter but there is quite a bit of interference. Is there a way of physically hooking up to my CDR22 radio installation. JOnathan
  9. I have just purchased and fitted an AutoTop from Bahn Tech Motorsport and am delighted with the one shot digit protector, however I would like to connect the speed sensor to my Porsche CR22 radio and am not sure which connector to go for. The manual provided by Bahn only gives details of an old radio unit. Can anbody help. I am in the UK and my car is a right hand drive. Thanks Jonathan
