  1. I'm considering removing my PCM to have it "altered" into a touch screen to also control a computer. Does anyone have pictures of the PCM and the area behind it? If the PCM is removed, what's the "impact" on the car? Does anything have to be disabled? Has anyone done this to say install another stereo instead? Also, does anyone know how much a replacement would be in case it gets messed up? Thanks!
  2. Small update: I've contacted drivesoft, and they said that they could: 1. Convert the 5.5 inch LCD in my PCM into a touchscreen 2. Possibly create an interface/switch for the PCM Has anyone done anything like this? Do you know of anything that may not get this to work?
  3. Has anyone looked into installing a computer in their 997? I have a 997 Cabriolet that I got with no nav options other than a bose sound system. I want to install a carputer that can (do at least top 3): - Play mp3s, dvds, ... - GPRS voice navigation - internet (via bluetooth phone) - Live TV - Sat radio (down the line) - Bluetooth phone module - Radar detector integration (is it possible?) to provide complete hidden system My biggest dillema is that I don't want to change the look of the car. Is there a way to change the LCD on the PCM and replace it with a touch screen (to control the PC) and change the input to toggle between the PCM and the PC? If not, is there a way to remove the PCM and install a new 7" display instead in a reversible process (for resale)? Has anyone looked into this? If so, I use PCs and Macs at home, what is the best integrated system out there? Is it drivesoft (HW and SW), or a specific type of PC with mediacar (looks dead) or DashPC?
