  1. for background, its a 25K miles engine (70K clock) - replaced under warranty before I had it no doubt due to an IMS. I suspect they put the old pieces back on the engine from the old scrap engine in this case??..
  2. it was the waterpump. Got me back but steam and some water on engine. Serpentine belt etc all in tact - I really didnt have a choice due to a non miss work appointment. Engine ran fine all the way back; I think it only just started spilling water as temps were all fine and filler bottle only just below minimum...
  3. Hi all, Away from home at the moment and pulled up at the hotel to hear a squeeking noise from the engine together with maybe a slight missfire/lumpiness.. Any ideas?; i didnt notice it until I stopped for fuel as performace seems to be about the same on the motorway/freeway trip I just did. Could it be a coilpack?; can I drive it (home) about 130 miles? ...Worried!....
  4. I think you need to keep the phone coding in otherwise the mobridge attached phone will not work... I have the same in mine as I have a Tooki.
  5. have you tried the on/off on/off on/off trick - Its the service switch and this is used for setting options also .
  6. I too had this issue - I mounted the dension 500 on top of the nav dvd but could remove the cdc since it seemed to have a captive nut under it. I did manage to get the fibre optic out and i plugged that directly into the dension, then the dension plugged into the cdc for passthrough mode. I tapped into the power lead for the CDC for the power to the Dension 500 unit. I have a tooki BT phone kit which is a whole other story as it rarely works properly!.
  7. you can disconnect the fibre optic cables (orange) and join them together with a coupler. That will stop the module coming on the most bus. the module is held in my 1 bolt at the front under the seat and lifting the seat up helps.
  8. Hi All, Sorry if this question is in the wrong spot but I have 2 questions.. 1. How do you get the front fog light/indicator/sidelight cover out/off to change the bulbs? - the manual shows some sort of plastic lever (that I dont have) and I dont want to scratch th surrounding area?. 2. The inner door handle on the drivers side - the illumination LED looks like it has slipped and whilst working, does not illumiate the handle. How does that part of the door panel come off?. Also, I have Tooki on my PCM and it consantly comes up with 'phone not present' until you pull the fuse on the pcm (which also powers the tooki). I updated the firmware on this but it seems to have got worse?. Anyone else seeing this who has Tooki Bluetooth?. Thanks all Jon
  9. Thanks- thats a shame - I hoped the OBD2 compatability may do something and the leads look very similar (not tried plugging it in yet)
  10. Hi All, I am back to Porsche ownership after having a few Audis... Curious; does the ross tech HEX-CAN lead work with PIWIS or Durametric sw?. Thanks Jon
