  1. Just thought I would update everybody on the outcome as I now have the car. After another week in which the OPC changed the Fuel Pump, and checking the wiring loom the OPC finally changed the main ECU. Presto problem is now fixed, so looks like the ECU was at fault. BTW, I just cant stop driving the car. I love every minute behind the wheel, the noise the engine makes is fantastic.
  2. Just to set the scene, I purchased a 2000 Boxster S 3.2 nearly 2 weeks ago, but I have not taken delivery yet as the dealer will not let me have the car due to a strange problem. Basically the car is missfiring slightly in the low RPM range, no fault code is showing on the computer. The dealer has changed the MAF but the fault remained so the car was taken to the local OPC, and they seem unable to resolve the problem. They are now talking to Porsche in germany to see if any light can be shed on the situation. Its aparrently only a very slight hesitation, they said that if I drove the car I wouldnt notice the problem especially as its my 1st Porsche, but because they are a specialist dealer and drive them day in/out they know as does the porsche main dealer that a problem is present. They are now investigating the VVC (does the 3.2 engine have VVC). Any ideas what the cause might be.
