  1. I'm pretty sure they're different. B&M makes the sport shifter for Porsche. You can get one on ebay for $200.
  2. I've heard that the resonance for GHLs are terrible on the highway. Dansk is a really good muffler with no resonance of the GHL or B&B. Fabspeed sells the Dansk muffler as their own. You can find them on line for about $900 for the Dansk unit.
  3. I emailed Tubi USA to find out if they're going to come out with a 987 & 986 muffler and got the following response (Champion Motorsporst is the Tubi USA distributor and aparently developer for new products): Thanks for your inquiry. We are currently testing the prototype for the 987 Boxster. We anticipate production to begin in approximately 30 days. We should have products in stock in 60 to 90 days. Sometime next week we will be testing the system on the older Boxster to determine fit. I will send you an email to advise once the test is complete. 4. I emailed S CAR GO about their cold air intake for the 986. They quoted 10rwhp for the gain. http://www.scargoracing.com/ Boxster® Intake Plenum Our custom-designed intake plenums are built out of carbon fiber, and improve the airflow into the motor, improving the efficiency of our headers. $895 each retail. Maybe you can check to see if they're designing one for the 987. It's a shame this piece is hidden, it looks sweet in carbon fiber!
  5. I've been doing alot of research and saw on the Carnewal website that they have the Porsche Sport Exhaust System and it has the bypass valve. This appeals to me because my wife I'm sure will not like a loud exhaust all the time. Anyone out there have it or know of another exhaust that has a bypass valve like this? I have a completely stock '01 Boxster that I just purchased a month ago. Thanks!
  6. Dan I've just purchased a 2001 Boxster and have had the same intemittent problem. I do have all the service records included and the prior owner had the problem twice. They fixed the vent tube that was crimped twice. I had the problem and thought the gauge was incorrect and the tank was full. I ran out of gas and realized that wasn't the case. I called to have the dealer that did the work originally to check it out again. On my way to the dealer (right after I started the car and it was sitting for several days) I got gas. I was able to fill the tank without a problem. I took it to the dealer anyway and they couldn't find a problem. I think the problem may be with some type of vent. As you drive and the gas moves, pressure builds and it won't allow you to fill the tank. I've filled the tank about four times since this incident. I always go directly from my house to the gas station (about a mile). I don't think it's a fix, but may help you if no one can figure it out.
