  1. Hello Loren!

Ive been quite hard against the guy that I bought my car from about the ignition coils so he will buy 6 of them for me so I just need to pay the replacement, maybe I can get him to help me pay this item also.

cause it is some other error with the car that he must have known about but didnt tell me.

    Thanks alot for the help.

  2. Hello again!

I took it to a Service facility and it is something that preassure in extra air (to the turbos?) once in a while, and this little fan can make the most horrible noice, just so you know what too look for if you get an metalscream sometime.

Loren, maybe you know what I mean and can give me the number/price on it?

    Best regards

    Jonas

  3. When my engine gets warm and I have it on around 1k RPM and just touch the gas so it goes toward 4k RPM without any gear in it start to make this screaming sound sometimes and sometimes it stops after I do the samt thing again.

It sounds like the real high pitch noice come from the hydralic for steering/Clutch box but Im not 100% sure, I have checked the fluids and it looks ok.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

I have checked so it isnt from the AC

  4. Thanks alot Loren!

Strange that the guy at Porsche didnt tell me it was serious when I told him that the light started to flash a few seconds every time I started the engine when it was really cold.

Does the cable and box usually break also so it is worth changing them at the same time?

    Best regards

  5. Hello!

After my check engine light started to first flash a little and then lid I went to Porsche and checked out the problem, they say that the ignition coils on 1, 3 and 5th cylinder was the problems that created the lamp to start lid and that one or several probbably are cracked.

They also told me that the engine can go very unclean from this at low to middle RPMs. I have now driven my car for 2 weeks after the fault showed up the first time and everytime when the car havnt been started for +5h the check engine light start to flash after around 1-2 minutes of driving (I guess this means that the fault is rehapening) and then after a few seconds it starts to have a steady light again.

I guess this is something that I must take care of, is there any possibility that I can do this myself or is it a big job? I guess I have to remove rear bumper and maybe the coolers behind it? The porsche dealer want 1500US to fix it so if I can do it during a weekend without to much special equipment I think Ill give it a try at the same time as I lower the car.

    Best regards

  6. Thanks Loren! Ill buy from Porsche then, but I would like to buy the lower package from them then and might still get problem with my US front suspension (but then I guess they will warn me).

My car has travel 71000 miles so it have went very far for being a sportwagon from 2001. I have a carfax report and in that report do I see that the car have been at a Porsche Service facility on every serviceoccation (around right milage for each service).

It has only one owner and been on service in the same Porsche facility in Florida every time.

Do you think that there is any possibility for me to get paper on the services done on my car so I can see all the history of it? or atleast get it by word so I know if clutch is changed and such things?

    Best regards

  7. Hello!

I would like to change Springs on my US 996TT, the plan was to buy the H&R Springs but after reading some posts here I feel insecure that this will work, is it better to buy the original Euro Springs to be sure that everything works or do I dare to put on the H&R springs?`

I never drive on race track but Iwould really like to get rid of the different heights in rear VS front and if possible lower the car a little extra without spending to much on new suspension.

    Best regards

    Jonas
