  1. Thanks for the help, can you recomend a 5Bar FPR? Loren: I know that is a big difference in price, could it be due to that they take the Turbos directly from Borg Warner? This is the company that sell them and on the homepage they show the item as sold out even though they sell it on ebay, they have good bidding history on ebay so I dont think that the try to scam. http://www.qualityimportparts.com/epcvsoap...lityimportparts Did you end up buying them? They are still selling the same package and I have a 2004 tt, if you did buy them have you installed them and are they working normal? what company did you go with for the ECU Flash? Any help is appreciated Hello! I bought theese turbos but asked them to rebuild them to K24/26 and after this I went to 9ff and they tuned my car and added all other needed things like air filter, 5 bar frp, recalibrated WP for 1.2 bar and other goodies, I have 590hp now and it feels like a total differant car to drive, I have only driven 2000km or so after the tuning since it is winter here now but I can gladly say that I would buy those Turbos again :) They where original Borg Warner Turbos for a great price :)
  2. If you have lowered the car lately this can also reduce the handling, if you set the PSS9 towards gt2 height the pss9 will bottom out to early which give lousy handling. Ive heard 4 front and 3 rear as good setup.
  3. Hello! I have a 5Bar regulator now and almost 600hp with K26 turbos, the thing is that since a valve in my fuelpump seems broken so I need a new one I can as well use a GT2 pump if that can handle even more hp then the TT(If I do more tuning in the future) ;). But the main question is if it will work to use that pump at all in a TT? I see that you have a lighter Fly wheel, I am also thinking about buying one, did you notice any big changes when you changed it or did you change it at the same time as you did the other tuning? Can you recomend a good place to buy a Fly Wheel from?
  4. Hello! Is it possible to use a 996 GT2 Fuelpump on a 996 TT and will the GT2 fuel pump be able to keep a higher flow then the TTs pump? (Be able to handle more hp)
  5. Hello! I got help from 9ff to fix my problem, since my car also have been hard to start when it has been warm they adviced me that there is a pressure holding valve in the fuel tank and when that holding valve cant hold the pressure in the fuel line to the engine the fuel will vaporise from the heat when the engine is warm. After I fixed this problem the engine started immediatly. Im a really happy camper now :) //Jonas
  6. Hello! a few hours ago I stopped my car for 10 minutes, after that I tried to start it but it refuses to start at all. I bought some start gas and let a friend hold it against the airfilter, then it started immediatly and also died as soon as we removed the start gas. I think it depends on that the car dont get any gas but I dont understand why, I have looked at the fuse for fuel pump and also for ignition/fuel and both are ok. Could it be the immobilizer that dont work properly to the key or is the immobilizer going through ignition or will it turn off fuel pump and leave ignition on? //Jonas
  7. My car have always started immediately but now it always take 3-4 tries before it starts properly, when the car is cold it start at once but as soon as the car is warm and I turn it of and start it between 10mins-2h afterwards when the car is still quite hot it is reaqlly hard to start. it is almost the same procedure everytime, first try it doenst start at all, second time it starts up and run close to 1000rpm for 1/4sec and then dies and 3rd time it runs up toward 1200RPM and then goes down to 750-800RPM after 1sec or so and is ready to drive away. (it always run great as soon as it started up properly) I looked a little at OBD values and Lambda and Maf values seems fine Cat = 1.000-1.001 on both side, they are very similar. (the datafields on the bottom of page) MAF: 5mg/s on Idling Longtime fueltrim 1_3: 3.9 Longtime fueltrim 2_4: 1.6 And I see that the shorttime is almost as much negative on 2_4 side that it is positive on 1_3 side so it differs quite alot (values of +4.7 and -4.7 at idle) Could this have anything to do with the problem to start the car? I dont have any fault codes except for P0442 wich is microleak from tank or something like that which I also had beore the car started to be hard to start. If anyone have had a similar problem or have an idea of how to fix it, please dont hesitate to answer :)
  8. Hello! I had a car that was totaly dead when I tried to start it sometimes but if I moved the car a few inches and had gear in so it moved the engine a little the car started, Im not sure why it was like this but after I changed start engine the problem dissapeared. Its an easy test, just push the car a little forward and change to 1st gear and after that try to start it.
  9. Cant it be the wastegate that needs to have a harder spring or something? Think that it is opening around or just below 1 bar in original aperance? Edit: To test this you can open the wastegate manually with a plyer and see howe the "arm" is moving, and then put something in the way for the "arm" and take the car for a full boost run and then see if the "arm" have moved the thing that you added in the way and that way know that the wastegate have been opened. :) My bet would be on the wastegate Jonas
  10. Ben! Then you might have had to little fuel one of the times wich caused the error? I think I need to calibrate the sensor at Porsche but ill try to fill it up one more time and disconnect the battery for 15 minutes or so :) Jonas
  11. Hello Loren! THanks alot for the help, I think I tried to disconnect and connect the battery with full tank afterwards but Im not sure, I try it again and come back with info :)
  12. I have this exact same problem. When I fill the tank it says 3/4 full and when the light comes on I have +20L left. This problem just came one day after I connected/disconnected my battery. Could it have been cause I had to little gas in the tank during my disconnection so it couldnt calibrate afterwards? Regards Jonas
  13. I had this exact problem after the winter, it was the wastegate down on the turbo that was a little harsh, after I put a little lubricant on it and forced the arm forwards and backwards a few times it started to go smoth and I saw 0.8 on the bar meter again :) I hope you have this same fault. GL :)

  15. Hello! I am on my way to get towards 600 HP and can probbably get software for a decent price that will fit a 996 with KKK 24 turbos. will the Turbos from the URL work with my car, they are quite a bit cheaper then buying KKK24 from Porsche but will they work for sure? I hope they do cause then it might be possible to reach 600HP without spending above 10 000US. I will also buy: Sachs Stage 2 Clutch with LWFW front brakes with 6 piston from Brembo Muffler that will give me more flow (I have already modified my own muffler but concider race cats also) Bilstein PSS9 Please help me with other things that I need to upgrade to get my car to work without failure even though I jump up 150-200hp. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsche-996...emZ200009845154
  16. Hello! I also had a very stiff clutch on my 2001 TT, it was the slave cylinder for the clutch that had some problem so after they changed that it is so much lighter then it used to be.
  17. I know that the PSM + ABS light came on when the hose from one of the Turbos came loose, Im not sure why but it must be a connection between how the engine goes and the ABS falure warning
  18. Thanks alot for the help! After my last question the car started to go really odd and rpm traveled between 500 and 1500RPM and att the same time the PSM lid came on togheter with the ABS falure... This was a few day before I took my car to a DIY garage... And to my big surprice I noticed that one of the hoses from the turbo had come loose. And this only within 100 miles from after I had my Porsche on a total engine removal (at a big Porsche dealer), I think that this is under all criticism... After I put the hose in place the PSM and ABS lid dissapeared. (how come?) And about the other fault that I had from the start... Just as boli said it was the by pass flaps that didnt close as they should, I sprayed them with a little 5-56 (tried to not spray on parts that get hot) and moved the flaps til they started to go as they should. After this the car loaded 0.7Bar Thanks alot for the help guys.
  19. Hello! Earlier today I noticed that it was sounding as a hard blowing noice from the engine when I started to put some boost on the engine, and it dont run as fast as it use to. When I look at the Boost it dont get up in above 0.4 even if I push it really hard on some of the higher gears from 2500-4000 RPM. Earlier Im sure that it have measure around 0.8. Its hard to describe the noice that appear from engine under load but it is really like if it is leaking air instead of boosting up the preassure. Have anyone had this problem or heard about it? Best regards Jonas Ps. I dont get any fault code wich I think is strange Ds
  20. It only reads the nav CDs. The CD exchangers (that handles 6 CDs) are in the luggage.
  21. Porsche have now had the car for another week because it is misfiring on one of the banks at higher RPMs, it is not the Sparkplugs, or the coils they have had 3 men looking at it soo far without coming to a conclusion and have asked the people in German for tip. Anyone here that know a thing that can cause this things on 996TT that is unusual and not what they would look at? It is only like 1month left before it is winter here in Sweden so I would really like to give them all advice I can so I get my car ASAP. Best regards Jonas
  22. Hello Gary! Ive had my car on service now and the ignitioncoils that Porsche told me gave the misfires on the cylinders looked good but the sparkplugs was in a bad shape so they where sure that those was the thing that caused the misfires. But... They also tell me that someone have removed the engine and removed the intakepipe for the fuel/air (Im not sure what its called but where the gas gets in to the engine) and then they have mounted it a little wrong so the engine is probbably getting a little wrong air/fuel % so that could also cause the problem and now they are trying to come up with a way to remove this intake without removing the engine. It is only Porsche centers that have done anything with the engine, is it really that simple to put the intakes in the wrong way so the engine work but still not perfect? and what is the usual cause of why one have to remove the engine and intakepipe on such new car? Im really hoping that they find a way to put the intake in the right position without removing the engine. Best regards Jonas
  23. Hello Gary! The car is a 996TT and the noice does not verys with RPM and does not go away after one minute. It was the service technichan at Porsche that told me it was the secondary airpump that screamed. I have it on a big service now and will get the car back on monday so hopefully I will know a little more then.
  24. Today something strange happened, after the light started to flash a few days ago I have not driven the car more then a couple of time and I will leave the car on 120000km service tomorrow with exchange of ignition coils if needed. But tonight I took the car for a little drive and all of a sudden the light started to flash as soon as I come close or above 3000RPM so with Lorens warning words in my head (thanks Loren) I took it really soft and drove the car back home at 1000-2000 RPMs, what is the most probable cause that it can be when the car only runs below 3000RPM no matter of that it is warm or cold, and even more important, do I dare to drive the car to the Porsche center that is around 10 minutes driving from here?
  25. Thanks alot for the tip. I have never got any misfires but when it is a little cold it feels a little unsteady in the RPM and when I press the clutch while driving around 3-4k RPM and remove the gas the RPMs go down towards 500 and then up to 1200 and down to 500 and up again before it get stable around 900RPM. I wish my car only had went 30k, it have went a little above 110000km wich is around 70k miles I think, so I am planning to do the 120000km Service now and I think that service is including change of plugs.
