Hello again, After driving he car for 500 miles and the first cold snap, upon starting after sitting at work's parking lot, it repeated the same symptoms. I had to tow the car again since the the car dies and the gas peddle is basically not responsive. To top all of this, I had an array of light PSM, thin ABS, etc. come on this time. Finally they briefly looked at the car today at the dealer and said I have many fault codes. Last time they said I had strange ones and they did the throttle adaption reset. I am big time frustrated since this is the second time I had to tow my car, and they don't seem to know what is the problem. This is the first time I had to tow any car or first time I have a problem with any car that you can't drive to the shop and leaves you stranded and also the unknown part of the puzzle. When I got the car, I just knew this will happen again since they did not seem to know exactly what it was! I will try to get the codes this time if they figure out what is wrong. Thank you all.

I finally got the car back. They said they had strange codes and the only thing they could figure out was throttle response had lost its position in space and time! So, they reset the throttle adaption. I asked what I am suppose to do it this happens again, and they said I can try reseting by turning ignition switch off and on and maybe even disconnecting the battery. But this may not fix the issue. So I am not very happy about this since now every time I get in the car I wonder if it's going to happen again. Otherwise, the car runs perfect. Any ideas anyone, anyone heard of this before? Thanks.

Thank you for your reply. I will let you all know what the dealer says. I have to say I just bought the car two months ago. The original owner also had the Fueling problem where you can not fuel the car and also PCM issue where they actually changed the alternator instead! Anyway, I just can not believe a car with 16K miles can have all these issues. But, they are mechanical, computerized highly engineered machines so faulty parts can happen. I just have never had to tow a car before, specially when it was running perfectly before going all wacky on you. btw- thank God I bought the Easy care insurance which by the way was very expensive! Thanks again.

Hello Everyone, This is my first post of any kind anywhere! I have a 996tt and yesterday after I was to leave work, it started very rough. It sounded like misfiring or maybe one of the cylinders not working, etc. Check engine light came on as well, take to mechanic warning, etc. I tried to rev the engine but it would not let me, basically pressing on the gas peddle would not rev the engine. Strong fuel smell and sulfur was also present. Finally called dealer and towed it there. They are going to take a look this Monday. Anyone any idea? It was running perfect when I got to work before all this happened. Thanks.
