  1. Hello Forums,

Just got the Brake Pad Workshop light on. Does anyone know how much distance is left before I -really- need to change my pads and rotors? I am stopping by Oregon in 2 weeks and want to pick up parts there (200$ cheaper than in Vancouver, Canada).

    2 Other questions:

    1. How do I measure the brakes myself?

    2. How do I tell if I should replace the rotors?

    Thanks.

    Chris.

  2. Hello Forums,

Just wondering how difficult is the Cayenne S Spark Plug + Coil Pack change on the Cayennes S 2005? I've been thinking about doing this myself and saving a little cash.

I have misplaced my service manual. If this might be something I can do myself, and someone doesn't mind sending me the relevant pages, I'd very much appreciate it!

    Cheers,

    .C

  3. Hello Forums,

    I have 2 issues.

    1. One of my doors stopped locking. You can open the door from the outside anytime, but you can't open it from the inside. Does anyone know what I might need to fix here without having to take it into a dealer? Before it completely died, locking causes the door lock to 'Whir".

    2. My "beep on lock" stopped working. When I lock the car, the horns don't beep any more. The settings are set to on. Blown fuse? Dead horns? Regular horns work fine when pushed on the wheel.

    Thanks for your help!

  4. Hi Fourms,

My rear left door stopped unlocking properly when I unlock all doors. I was able to unlock the door by unlocking with handle from the inside.

For safety, I decided to manually override the lock. I locked the door by taking off the manual override cap and pushing the lock in. Then closed the door.

Problem is now, I can't unlocking the door inside or outside.

Can someone tell me how I can open the door?

    Thanks!

    C.

  5. Hello forums!

I have a few scratches on my Cayenne S and I'd like to see if I can use some paint pens to fix it up gently rather than go through elaborate sanding and fixing.

My question is - Is there any way to specifically find the color of your car? I have the color code guides as a Contrib. Member but it's not exactly the easiest to match the paint on a screen to the car.

For reference, it's a light steel color with a gray / blue tint.

    Thanks!
