  1. Tool Pants, That didn't work. The drain holes are clear, and draining, but when i tested it with a water hose the water shows up behind the seats. Passenger worse that the driver, but both sides........ What next?
  2. O.K. fellas one way or the other this convert is gonna kill me!! Got through the broken top transmission issue a few months ago, now i have a top leak. I took it to a dealer (3 hours away) and supposedly they fixed it  yeah right. She is a 1998 Boxster with 27,000 miles! So now this is my problem, when it rains it pours......into the areas behind the seats. I've checked the little plastic umbrella valve plunger things and they are gone, and the holes appear to drain fine. I've also looked for tears in the molded drip tray where the hole is ond it looks fine as well.  ANY IDEAS??? Thanks, Doc
  3. After 9 weeks at 4 different shops i think we are closer to fixing my top problem, but here is where we are now. When we attempt to open the top, it opens about 5 inches and closes back on its own, it will repeat this same cycle over and over. There is no binding or crunching, and everything appears to be lined up well. SO WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?????????????????????? UPDATE!!!!!! After talking to my mechanic(friend) he says that when you press the switch to bring the top up everything works like normal, the clamshell opens fine, the top comes all the way up except for the last 5 inches, then it stops and goes down for a few inches and then back up, stops and does it again and continues this cycle. WHAT THE HECK IS GOIN ON???? NOBODY AROUND HERE KNOWS!!
  4. After i put the top up manually i noticed that i dont have any RED ball connectors i only have white and black.......does this mean that mine have already been replaced??? THANKS!!
  5. O.K. after reading through some of the problems, mine dosen't seem to fit neatly with any that i've seen described, so here we go: After getting my 98 Boxster back from the mechanic for an electrical short problem( that was fun, the window/inside light fuse kept blownig for no reason and they "think" they found a short) the first time i was going to put the top down i turned on the key put the brake on unlocked the top and "PRESTO" the top went down by itself, i didn't have to push the "top down button" it just went down when i unlocked the top??????go figure. SOOOOOOO after a ride around town i got ready to put the top up and the clamshell opens slightly but then closes back. After reading some posts i looked at the height of each side and yes the left side goes up about 3 inches and the right about 1 inch before the top goes back down on its own. I don't hear any bad noises(thats good i hope) and you cant hold the convet button and make it work, you just push the button and let go and the top goes up a few inches and the right back down..........Well TOOL PANTS what do you fellas think???? :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
