  1. Cant believe that something so simple has corrected this problem i have lived with this for months carried out the 3 procedures and hey presto the steering column has full movement again. Thank you very much Dan
  2. Sorry RFM only just seen your question, the answer is they do not know Will managed to get the tilt motor working again using a laptop connected to the car im sorry its not an explaination however this is what he told me to be honest i havent moved it since the other motor which moves the wheel towards and away from the driver is fine, may look at just replacing the motor but not sure if you can purchase just this part Regards
  3. I would visually check all the tyres sounds like one may have delaminated or even two? The traction control light is the yellow flashing triangle which may be a poor fitting tyre that has not sealed properly, had thus with mine when I went round left hand corners at speed transpired the rim had a small crack which meant the bead would not seal. Hope this us of some use
  4. Derek Recently had the same diagnosed and subsequently replaced at OPC in Reading I will dig out the paperwork and see what they charged if that would help, from what I understand the servo sits on top of the transfer box, but they did not say how difficult it was to replace Regards
  5. Found this post really interesting and followed up on the information given by Koolkat i have located a Dynavin DVN-PC in the UK and am awaiting delivery (Wednesday), on talking with the UK distributer he was unsure if it really was plug and play. I contacted the US distributer and he did say that it was a plug and play unit though he was not sure about connecting a reversing camera. James from sales@auto-electronics.com ( 0845 075 6050) called back and had received confirmation from the German based Company that this unit is a direct replacement for the PCM fitted to the Cayenne (2003-2010) and does work with vehicles fitted with the BOSE sound system and connects to the fibre optic cable with the addition and an extra box supplied with the unit. I have the car booked into a local audio specialists who are going to remove the PCM and mObridge unit and instal the Dynavin, i will ask if they can supply pics of the instal and post.
  6. Thought i would give a quick update, once again Will and Laurence at Chelsea Carrera have sorted the problem, spoke with Will briefly, he said that he had never heard of this problem and that if i got the chance could i run the car in. Following day called and spoke with Laurence, he said that they were particularly busy could i drop the car off on Thursday, left it with them and Will called to say that he had sorted the problem, picked the car up had a quick chat with Will he said that he had sorted it but would like the car back the following Thursday just to check. Once again Laurence and Will have sorted the problem a big thank you to them.
  7. After all the help with my last little dilemma thought i would come back and ask the helpful family here. Out this morning in our 04 Cayenne Turbo and tilted the steering wheel down using the buttons on the steering column, went to adjust the column back to the original position and nothing happened, pushed the button to drop the steering wheel more thinking (perhaps foolishly) that if it goes down then it must go up!!!. Unfortunately this is not the case the wheel is in the lowest position, dismantled the trim and located the button control box thinking maybe i can meddle with this however there is nothing to meddle with. I can see the screw that raises and lowers the steering column and the motor which is nicely hidden, when pressing the down button the motor clicks but when pushing the button up there is no sound at all?, if it clicks with one button surely it would click with the other thought it might be a relay?. If anyone can throw some light on this it would be much appreciated Thank You In Advance
  8. Once again turning to you chaps for a bit of help or inspiration, we have an 04 Cayenne Turbo with keyless entry fitted. when we brought the car the seller said that the keyless entry just stopped working, it has the dummy key which works fine, the two keys both unlock the car with their respective buttons, and the system recognises that there is a key in the car for the dummy key to start, and switch of by turning irn for two seconds. However none of the handles work, had the car services at PC Reading and asked them to look at this, their answer was that the car was showing a short across all the handles and that they would all need replacing??? Wow is this really the case, as I said any help would be much appreciated Thanks in advance
  9. Loren many thanks I will call the OPC tomorrow and tell them that the faults are back and can you take the car back in and check as you say the ground connectors Once again thanks for the quick response
  10. Wondered if you chaps can help? Recently acquired a 04 CT. The gentleman I purchased the vehicle from stated that he had let the battery die completely and had left it, however when he replaced it these three warning lights were illuminated.Had the fault codes cleared at an independant and all ok for a day, took the car up to 80mph and they all came back, took the car to an OPC who had the car three days said the had pressurised the braking system and cleared all the codes, drove the car all was ok for half an hour then the Four Wheel Drive light came on swiftly followed by the PSM light. Stopped turned the engine off waited all ok then 15 mins later Brake Boost came on but the other lights stayed off. Whilst these lights are on or coming on the car drives and stops perfectly, somewhat at a loss? Do I go back to the OPC and say sorry can you really fix it and be charged all over again or try another OPC/ Independant Many thanks in advance
  11. Richard many many thanks for a very fast reply, are these disc available at any Porsche Centre my local one( being Reading) were the one who gave me the DUFF information
  12. Wondered if you chaps could help (as you have before on more than one occasion) I have a 04 Cayenne with a PCM 2.0 Running Firmware 3 I wanted to update the maps so I contacted my local Porsche Centre and they Quoted £665 pounds to update the PSM with the latest maps, once I crawled of the floor I asked in a slightly wimpering voice how many Nav Discs will I recieve to which the service guy said none your old discs will work????? Now I am no techie but this seems a bit far fetched. So my question is there an up to date UK disc available for a PCM 2.0. Many thanks in advance
