  2. I am in the process of looking for a used Boxster. I’ve been doing research, lurking on the forums etc. Like any car purchase, it is a balance between age, price and condition. I would like to get some opinions on prices. It seems to me that the vast majority are priced so far over KBB value (even worse for Edmunds!) that I’m having trouble deciding how far under to offer? Example: Edmunds says a clean 2003 with about 40k should sell for $13,900 private party. An Autotrader search for an 03 with less than 45k comes back with an average price of $22,500! Are people really paying that much less than asking price? Just a little confused and would love some opinions.
