  1. Hi Valcax, Recently replaced the entire mechanical and electrical components with the upgraded ignition switch but the digital display will some times stay on all night long. The display will sometimes flash from just the background light to acual values. Pulling out the 15 amp instrument fuse B1 and reinserting it seems to help. There must be a timer relay or switch that is faulty??? Any suggestions? hi, mine did that, came back to the car to see the speedo number illuminated. pulled out the dash fuse and seems to have cured its self. have you now sorted this? if so what did you do Hi Rich Recently replaced the entire mechanical and electrical components with the upgraded ignition switch but the digital display will some times stay on all night long. The display will sometimes flash from just the background light to acual values. Pulling out the 15 amp instrument fuse B1 and reinserting it seems to help. 2. If the display stays lit when I close the door do I have a bad door switch??? Sometimes when I use the remote to set the alarm the display turns off.
  3. Thanks but .... Where is the switch located on the car? Do you have a part #??
  4. A recent development on my 99 Boxster. When I hit a good bump in the road both windows lower to the start of the top down postion. I have to stop the car, pull the E-brake and partially cycle the top down / top up position to get the windows up.
  5. Digital display background light stays on after key removal. I replaced the electrical portion of the ignition switch with some success a month ago but the problem has resurfaced on an intermittent basis. In addition after the display timed out and shut down I opened and closed the driver side door only to have the Digital display background light stay on. Last night it functioned properly but stayed on today. Could it be a relay or timer that hangs up? or just another bad switch?
