  1. Thanks I will remember that! It is a 2000 Boxster 'S' 6 speed manual.
  2. Well the car is now unlocked in the garage and wont start. $ times I have disconnected the battery for 20mins, and then after the reconnection it starts first time with ease! but as soon as i turn off the engine it wont start again unless i disconnect the battery again for 20 mins! useless!!
  3. Yep i am aware of this. Like i say (or maybe i didnt!) i have used the key in the door to reset it but, as soon as i turn the engine off it wont start again. using the key to reset doesnt seem to do anything on this problem
  4. Well i did think this about the battery but like i say when i disconnected the battery and reconnected after 30 mins it started first time. it is when i turn off the engine it just wont start again unless i disconnect the battery again for 30 mins
  5. OK so this forum has been recommended by Piston Heads members so I hope someone can help... My Boxster has been garaged and not used for 2 weeks. I went to start it the other day and nothing! all electrics fine (seemingly) just nothing from the engine! So i have trickle charged the battery, - nothing. I have tried to jump start using the hitech kit borrowed from my local garage - nothing. (battery showed 13v on the meter so seems ok. It was suggested on the other forum that i disconnect the battery for 30 mins and then reconnect and try - i did this and the car started first time! So i drove it round for 20 mins then left it out front. As i locked it using the remote i did notice that a few seconds an unusual bleep came from it, a sound which i never heard before) 10 mins later. the car wont start again so i took a deep breath, disconnected the battery again for 30 mins and then it again started first time effortlessly. This time i put it back in the garage and as soon as i turned off the engine, i went to restart it and .... nothing! (i had not even got out of the car) so now it is sitting in the garage. and i am sitting here typing this and exasperated! any assistance gratefully received.
