  1. Just give LN Engineering a call to see if it fits the Cayenne as the filter and plastic housing are the same as a 996 Porsche 911 and a Boxster so it probably fits the same. Porsche is no dumb company, the paper filters of our era fit all models and about 3 years on either side of the '06 manufacturing date. BTW, LN is a very highly respected company in the Porsche realm, I just don't see a reason to go from OEM if it is Torqued properly.

  2. The Plastic filter housing on my '06 CTTS was also supertight when I first got it. I was able to finally break it loose and come to find out that the filter was compressed enough against the pressure relief valve friction welded to the bottom of the plastic housing that the pressure relief valve had broken loose. The housing itself is fairly cheap if you can mail order it and I think was only supposed to be tightened to 18ft/lbs so definitely don't overtighten.

  3. My dealer installed one in my '06 Turbo S years ago and said it was the Porsche authorized Ipod system and when I took my glovebox out to track a loose Most connection recently I found the box, it was a older Nav-TV box with a Porsche sticker on it that was peeling off. It works pretty good but has a few glitches so I called Nav-Tv and all of their newer boxed have USB updateable software, mine does not. They were willing to swap boxes for half of the new price ($250 instead of $499) but I'm sticking with what I have for now.

    Like others I have installed the Mobridge Bluetooth for Telephone. Most install behind the Glovebox as mudman2 elluded too but I chose to install it at the Most plug in the righ rear where i pulled the OEM CD Changer out. There is power and a Most connection all set up there. The only pain is that you have to run the Microphone to the front but they give you a Microphone with about 8~10' (3meteres) of cable. I ran it up the rear right trim panel and along the (Panoramic) Sunroof and placed it in one of the vents in the overhead sunroof panel so it is unseen, and everyone has said it sounds great on their end of the conversation. I would say that the Glovebox route may be easier, especially if your not needing to remove the OEM CD changer like I did.

  4. You need the PCM to be coded for the Rear view camera probably. It is something that needs to be done with the PIWIS. I replaced my PCM in my '06 Turbo S w/rear view camera option and the camera wouldn't work anymore so I took the car to the dealer and they coded the newer PCM for the Rear View camera and all was well again. Mine said the same as yours "AV not available".

  5. Seems like there have been a lot of Fuel pump failures in the last few months. I just put my '06 on the lift last night to check the driveshaft (no reason, just taking a look) but I'm afraid if I look at it then it will fail, and that with all of these Fuel Pump failures that I'm jinxed :)

    P.S. Hennessy just sent me the new '09 coil packs so I'm sure my old '05 ones won't fail anytime soon.

  6. Rear O2 sensors are fairly easy to replace as you may already know after crawling under the Pig but the fronts are a bit more difficult. They will throw a code when they get to a certain point of failure but they will slowly fail to react properly over time and give poor readings to the ECU before they completely fail. If your Fuel Economy is fairly good, for a pig, then I wouldn't worry about them for now as you've got plenty of other problems. I would pick up a bottle or spray can of a good contact cleaner/enhancer (such as Stabilant 44 from the VW dearler for ProGold (Amazon?)) and go through every connector above and underneath the vehicle and spray on all connections and reseat them, clear the codes and drive and try everything again and see what comes back. This solved a couple of Electrical faults I got when I got my '06 Turbo S.

    You are looking at a bit of difference using the 295 with the same sidewall profile so you can see why they use the 315 as the rolling diameters are almost identical but notice the rim width. Even Tire Rack say's the minimum with 315's are 10" rims which is why a lot of Turbo S owners go with this on the rear. Sorry that was the best I could get the editor fo format it, anyone to do it as HTML.

  8. No Gen1 LED's but there are some good ones on Ebay and such. I do have a set off my '06 Turbo S I'll let go as a set for a reasonable price but I replaced them with the LED's and am very happy with the LED's, a slightly more modern looking update, not ricey. See this thread:

As bigbuzuki mentioned, it has been said when you take your vehicle in for an alignment get it done at the ride height you normally drive at, ie. don't get it done at normal ride height when you normally drive in low. With that said, I have never had my '06 Turbo S aligned and it tracks straight and I get 25~30K out of a set of tires which is fine compared to the 15~20K I get out of a set of rears on my 911. When I do get it aligned though I will get it done at the low ride height setting as that is where I do most of my driving too.
