  1. My Audi RS6 has the fuel filler door like your Cayenne. The door is locked when the car is locked, when the car is un-locked you just push on the back of the door and it opens.

My '06 CTTS has the switch in the door pocket as well as for the rear hatch. Must say I don't car for the fuel switch in the door pocket, I do know Audi has done this on some of their cars, I'm glad they didn't on my RS6.

  2. I just replaced my original Beru's with the Bosch FGR6KQE, which are 4 electrode surface gap plugs, and what the dealer just sold me. Car seems to run about the same as before but on my 50 mile round trip drive to and from work I have have now driven twice since the plug change and averaged about 1 mpg better than before. This could be attributed to the 53K on the original plugs though and not on the Bosch/Beru comparison. The dealer said the are both OEM plugs from Porsche, and that they have seen the Bosch to be a more common replacement in the last year or two compared to the Beru.

  3. I have had good luck with the Hawk HPS in the past but lately on my cars I've been using EBC Reds & Yellows. They are cheaper and seem to be easier on the rotors and quiet. The Reds are completely no squeak and very low dust. The Yellows have an occaisonal squeak but may not be fully broken in yet and a little more dust than the Reds but less than OEM and they bite a little better than the OEM or the Reds.

  4. Usually when you go up an inch in wheel size you go down by approximately one aspect ratio as EvoMotion elluded to or your speedometer will not read correctly. Here is a great tires size calclulator that you can use to put in your stock size then put on plus one, two, three, etc.. sizes and calculate any speedometer error. http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp

  5. Yea, seems like there are many causes for this one. My '05 Cayenne TT had this problem and it was the right side, I didn't even know how to pull the headlight at the time (about 3 months ago) so I pulled the inner fender lining and pulled the connection and shot some contact cleaner http://www.amazon.com/CLEANERS-LUBRICANTS-CAIG-BRAND-PROGOLD-Solution/dp/B00006LVEW in there and it has been fine since. I had heard that the bulbs can cause this too on another list. I also had other faults from the All Wheel drive to other things popping up but I spend a day pulling every connector that I could find underneath and in the engine compartment and used the Pro-Gold cleaner on them and they have all went away. I'm not saying that the connectors are eveyone's problem but they seem to cause a lot of them and I know the Pro-Gold is a favorite in the electronics industry as it is a cleaner and contact enhancer.

  6. Well I couldn't live without the phone button on the PCM 2.1 in my '05 Cayenne TT. I bought a PCM2.1 from a '08 Cayenne build date 17/09 part number 7L5.035.192C. I had a Bose, CD changer, off road, and compass already so I wasn't sure what was going to work. I purschased my unit off Ebaymotors from Euro-customs. The only thing their ads said was that you needed a PCM meant for Bose if your car had Bose. It came Fedex today and I installed it right away. It worked right off the bat. I had just updated my old unit from Level A to Level B with the latest 2009/10 Nav discs & software and the software was updated to PCM 3.1, the new unit has software 4.1, I couldn't find a way to update my old software to this level, it wasn't on the new Nav/software set. As I mentioned most everything seems to work, compass works, Ipod works(have dealer installed kit), Off road is still there. The only one I'm not sure about is the CD changer yet. Overall I'm pleased as I want to install the Mobridge and have a OEM type of Bluetooth, and now I can sell my good old PCM for probably almost as much as I paid for this unit.post-66823-0-94019000-1301618081_thumb.j
