Let me know how it goes, I may just pull my valve body later and have it done too as it would probably lengthen the life of the tranny as a whole and they claim the do all of the Sonax improvements to it.

I do believe the valve body can be replaced from the pan without pulling the tranny too.

Sonnen Porsche is having a special on the complete Aluminum coolant line update kit I just found while doing a little parts searching today. It appears the disc only come as a set and not separate.

Ok, I know this has been covered a couple of times but I read some conflicting info. I went to my local dealer (Larson Porsche/Audi) and they were clueless. They thought all of the updates & new Nav data would be on one CD/DVD but of course they didn't even have it in stock. I ordered it from Sunset Porsche in Oregon (955 044 903 61)for....wait....$299 (Larson wanted $358). When it arrived it was a 3 disc set, PCM update (Level A to B), Nav Update disc, and New Nav data disc. Follow the TSB 9/05 9110 and you'll be fine.

One of the posts I read said the PCM & Nav update discs were no longer included with the new Nav data but that is obviously wrong. The whole process takes about 15~20 minutes and like Porsche says, put your vehicle on a batter charger or start it up (charger makes more sense than letting it idle that long). I haven't gotten to try it out more than looking at my present screen but do see that there are many more streets in my local area as well as more Points Of Interest choices now. If anyone needs the PCM update CD and/or the Nav update CD send me an E-mail and I'll send them to you for the price of postage and just return them please. If you do the PCM update you have to do the Nav update. Once you do those you will only be able to use a non Level A Navigation DVD which is 04/2005 or later but you might as well get a much later one. The new Nav disc has both the 955 & 997 part #'s listed on it but the Nav update disc is 955 specific it looks like. I will post the Nav disc part # tomorrow and check to see if you can get it without buying the whole kit. hahnmgh@yahoo.com

Thanks Odix, I'll check my manual tomorrow. I've only had the Cayenne two weeks but drove it 2950 miles in the first 3 days so I thought I was real familiar with all of the setting but I'll check the manual and look again. Mark

What about turning off the automatic locking of the doors upon vehicle movement? An easy computer code change in my Audi's, hoping Porsche has something similar to program it out.

Can I use my present DVD Nav unit that is under the passenger seat? I'm wondering if that is what they mean by no Nav module in the ad? Is the only difference between this one and the one in my '05 Turbo the phone compatibility buttons? Thanks for the replies.

I'm wondering what they mean about the Nav module not being there? It has the Navi & Trip buttons? I have a '05 without the phone button and want a seemless bluetooth install OEM type so I guess I need a unit with the phone button but I am not willing to lose the Nav if it doesn't work? Seems like a good price but maybe it is an undesirable unit that doesn't support NAV? Thanks for any help.

I'm trying to decide on a Bluetooth also. I wish I had the PCM with the TEL button so I could use the Tooki system. I'll keep an eye on your feedback, keep it coming.

I get almost the same, V5 runs fine, but V6 hangs up on the electrical system check everytime doing the Short test (new cable just arrived this week). The first laptop I tried was slower than specified so I put it on my newer one, a Duo Core 2.0ghz and still no luck. Maybe I'll just have to wait for the next beta improvements. I shut off antivirus and all background programs to speed things up to no avail. V5 just doesn't have the modules I want to look at. Anyone know where the backup camera might be located in as far as modules go? Mine extends but I get a black screen on the PCM but still get the red letter warning statement.

I'm having almost the exact same problem on a my '06 Cayenne Turbo although in my case it extends and comes up black with the Red warning letters, no flashing or anything else. Just like the picture is not there. I've shined a flashlight in the camera lens when it's extended but no change in the picture.

Another failed attempt with a different computer with Beta version 6.0.7.3 The only Control module that gets contact is the Engine, all others fail to connect.

Thanks PKN, I also noticed that most of the computer requirements are standard and easily met but it also asy's that it requires a Duo Core processor which many of us using this on old laptops don't have. I am going to load it on my newer laptop and see how it runs.

The only module it seems to be able to read is the engine. I reloaded Version 5 and it seems to function ok. Durametric is nice but nowhere near as good as VCDS is for Audi/VW cars.

So is it my understanding that if you spend the money for the Aluminum tubes you replace the plastic tubes & "T" connector all together? Although if Porsche upgraded to Aluminum replacments then why are they still selling the plastic "T" piece?

New Cayenne owner but not new to Porsche question. Are the aluminum replacement pipes replacements for the plastic pipes were talking about here? I see them advertised for $500~$600 for the kit. Is that a good price? If they are a replacement for the plastic, seems that for the money going with the aluminum ones, though more expensive, is a better solution? Here is a Ebay ad saying a 17pc kit w/coolant.

I can't believe that the Canadian Cayenne would have the Euro engine. The Canadian cars almost are the same as the U.S. except some different standard options. That's why the list them as North America.

I'm a little late to this thread but yes the Power kit E81 was available in the U.S. and it is more than just the power as mentioned. New ECU and suspension ECU, new Intercoolers, Servotronic tweeked, brakes, boost increase. It definitely steers, accelerates, and brakes better.
