  1. Hello all, I've been browsing the forums and it seems I'm not the only one whose had problems with this mirror! Likely the extreme heat here in Singapore does not help matters. My mirror suddenly seems to have moisture of some description inside - so it is very unsightly to look at. In reality I have no use for the auto dimming feature. I just want to have a nice mirror to look at again..... But I can't stomach the $900 bill at the dealership to replace this. I'd be happy to buy a replacement online and install myself. During my browsing I have learned that the mirror might be shared with VW and Audi. Others have suggested the part is hard to come by. I've had one quote from a supplier in the UK at $600, which is still too much. In short, can anyone point me to the right part to buy and where to buy it? If I can get a replacement with the auto dimming feature for less than $200 I'd be happy. Alternatively I don't need the auto dimming feature, so I'd be happy to replace with something that a) fits, b) looks nice (befitting a Porsche). Many thanks
  2. Thanks for the fast reply 318. I should have searched the forums before asking! Very much appreciated. Cheers
  3. After a weekend of heavy rain here in Singapore I noticed a musty smell in the car. Checked floor mats and found those in the rear soaking wet. Foot wells back there were filled up. I can't see where the rain is getting in. Someone suggested there might be some sort of internal drainage system that has become blocked. Just wondering if anyone out there has experienced this before? I'm concerned that constant water will rust out my floor pans. Many thanks
  4. I've just bought a 996 C4 2004 model, cabriolet. Upon removing the hardtop supplied with the vehicle I see that the caps which cover over the hardtop anchor points at the rear are missing. Presumably they are round plastic caps, about 5cm in diameter - at least that is what the diagram in the owners manual looks like. I've attached 2 photos of the offending hole. Apart from the circular cap (both missing), there's also the cutaway cover - you can see I have left it lying on the fabric in one of the shots. If anyone has any suggestions where I can find these parts that would be much appreciated. Best regards from Singapore
