  1. Hi - new to all this but would appreciate help with fixing a problem with my Sep 2005 Boxster S. There are four air vents in the dashboard and each has a slider that is supposed to control the horizontal/vertical vanes in the vent itself so that you can direct the airflow. In all four of mine a small plastic fork shaped component and a 2cm piece of spring wire have fallen out and even though I have collected the pieces from inside the vent I don't know how to fix them back. It looks like I will need to get the vents out of the dashbord and given that I have seen the vent units themselves for sale on eBay it is clear they come out as one unit but my question is - How do you get them out?! All help appreciated.
