  1. I don't doubt that a porsche service technician was make an absolute statement like that... Wouldn't be the first time.
  2. I assume you test drove the car before purchasing it, as well as other comparable vehicles you were looking to buy? What passes for "seat of the pants" acceleration for one might differ for another. As others have mentioned around these forums - there are certainly faster cars out there if you are looking for straight off the line acceleration. I think most will say that the acceleration is more than adequate.
  3. Actually I have that exact tire size on my vehicle and it is fine. Seems to add a little extra cushion to the ride over the stock 40's as well. Some will say do not deviate in any shape or form from factory recommended "plus" sizing but there are other in the forums who have used this size with no issues.
