  1. I haven't seen anything like this. I'm collecting data on coolant pipe failure and tracking it. This stems from my own curiousity but maybe it will show some good results. I have the same thread on 6speed at http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/cayenne/251205-coolant-pipe-data-points-please-contribute.html It doesn't matter - Post here or there

Please include Model, Model year, date of failure, mileage at failure, and location

    Thanks!

  2. xsrfs, I know what you mean. The Vagcom software for Audi & VW's is ten times the product that Durametric is and it even costs less. The Durametric cable looks like a Vagcom copy but the software isn't up to Vagcom performance. Hopefully someday it will catch up.

Really? This is my first porsche and when I bought it I assumed there had to be vagcom equivalent. I'm shocked tbh. How do you diagnose these things then?

  3. I have the tiptronic system which works perfectly and the car drives perfectly in auto transmission mode but when I use the lever in manual mode to shift gear, there is often a very loud click - particularly on the downshift. It is definitely coming from the console area under the shifter. I have looked under it and can find nothing which might cause interference. Anybody have any ideas what might be causing it?

A service rep at a dealer once told me that a solenoid/valve or something is a typical failure on these transmissions and can cause hard shifting. I don't know, mayeb this is it? Sorry, all I got

  4. Can someone clarify this thread? I'm confused. I have the same issue on my 04 CS Driver's side. I called dealer to ask and they said its the AC drains and is accessed from under vehicle. I assumed its the rubber nipple-like drain so i ran a coat hanger up there and got nothing.

What is the drain mentioned above regarding the engine bay/firewall? Everywhere I look I get a different story.

    TIA!
