  1. The engine is a 3.0SC that has been completely rebuilt by a very reputable builder.. Every bearing replaced, new rings, cylinders prior to being reinstalled were checked for roundness, valve job 3 angle with new guides, etc. no expense spared. Running CIS, engine has about 4500 mls. Under load it is pinging while running 93 octane. During initial start up blue smoke from oil in chambers, when it warms up and you down shift or come off gas large volume of blue burning oil smoke appears. Car pull well and idles smooth as silk. Can a vacuume leak cause sudden oil to go into chambers? I checked to see if to much oil in tank and seemed ok, let some out, still same problem. Any thoughts would be appreciated..
  2. Does anyone know where to purchase a metal replacement windshield cowl panel for a 1977 911s??
  3. Thanks for your reply.. I will do an oil change and see if it makes a difference. Will post findings!
  4. I have a 2005 tts cabrio with 44k on clock that has a small ticking noise that seems to be coming from the bottom part of the engine case. No codes or performance problems. The car drives and performs 100%. I noticed this more when i put a fab speed exhaust on. Is this typical of these engines as it does not get any louder as you accelerate.
  5. Good afternoon Loren, I have a 2005 TTS Cabrio. I have searched the site to see what the plugs are best to use with a mild ECU upgrade and air box, but only found Bosch FR6LOC plugs listed. When I went to my local auto parts supplier he could not cross ref. this number. What is the actual part number for the Bosch spark plug. Thanks...

  6. I have been looking at a pair of obx rsr headers. Does any one have any input for a muffler?
  7. I have a 2005 tt S cabrio and have installed the UniChip and keep it in the 2nd position. I found it to be a great improvement. Seeing that mine is a Turbo S and I saw a big improvement you gains should be even greater. I also installed after a cold air box, fab speed headers and exhaust, and new pop-off valves. WOW... Good luck Scott
  8. Hello.. I have a 2005 996TT and had changed the oil and added what seemed to be an extra quart due to not draining the turbos. Upon start up it was smoking. I then drained the amount out so that the level was correct by the gauge. I have not driven it for any period of time since the drain of the excess oil and it is still smoking. Is there any other area that can be drained out or just let it burn off?
