  1. I'm looking to potentially purchase an 03 or 04 boxster. Looked at various forums about retrofitting PCM2 navigation but it seems very expensive. Has anyone been successful to replace the stock head unit in their 03/04 boxster with an aftermarket DVD navi unit? Does it involve a lot of custom wiring and cutting of trim pieces? Please let me know what brand navi unit you have installed if so. The newer models have MOST fiber optic is that going to be problematic?

  2. Does your 2005 Cayenne V6 come with HID headlights from the factory or aftermarket? I'm looking to get HID headlights aftermarket.

    Thanks!

    Marco,

Would you mind PM me the link to the HID lights, how much were they? Is it easy to install, plug-n-play, no wiring necessary? Hope you have instructions too!

    Thanks,

    Edwin

  3. Hello everyone!

I finally gave in and decided to buy my first Porsche... a 2006 Cayenne. :clapping:

Been sitting in the car and reading through the manuals, but can't seem to get this right.

I have the standard in-dash CD radio. Does anyone know if it is possible to change the radio using the station presets from the steering wheel? Currently, the steering wheel buttons operate in manual mode only. ...

    Thanks!

I have the same issue with my 05 Cayenne, Loren do you have any ideas? I currently have to press the numbers on the keypad to change radio presets.

    Thanks!

  4. Does anyone know if it's possible to retrofit Bi-Xenon kit on a halogen-headlamp based Cayenne? Or can you recommend an aftermarket HID/xenon kit for Cayenne which I can have installed professionally by a local dealer in California?

    Thanks!

Yeah, Alpha and Xetronic got some pretty good HID bi-xenon kits. You have to build a bracket to hang the ballast. You are looking at $1000.00+ with installation.

However, you may also try to look for the genuine bi-xenon headlights. Like new ready-to-install parts are of the similar cost as the HID kits, but you may save a little bit on installation. Check eBay out.

AlienGG are you familiar with anyone in the SF Bay Area who is a reputable installer of these Alpha/Xetronic kits?
