  1. I have a 2000 base Boxster. I went to close the top and I heard a loud pop and now my top will not open. The clam shell stays down. Any direction would be helpful. Thank you. Scott
  2. Looking for some guidance. My 2000 2.7 Boxster is hard to start after fueling up. I replaced the purge valve and it does the same thing. Any thoughts? Regards, Scott
  3. I figured it out. The turn signal wires under the headlight assembly had been pinched and shorted out. This caused a domino effect of fuses to blow. After fixing the wires all problems are gone. BTW the LID lights work awesome! Just like a good HID kit but for only $31.00 on Amazon. No errors just nice bright lighting. Regards, Scott
  4. I have a 2000 base with manual transmission. I installed some LED headlight bulbs the other day. I made a mistake when I installed the passenger side bulb. I had the polarities switched. Pos to neg and neg to pos. The light would not turn on. So I switched the plug around and everything worked fine. But now my car is acting strange. The top was down when I started this project and it wont go back up. The one touch function to raise the windows is gone (I tried the reteach but no luck). Did I blow a module up? HELP!!!!! Scott
  5. My 2000 2.7 with 130K stick has been hard to start every time I fuel up lately. I have a new fuel cap (OEM). Any ideas? Scott
  6. Thank you Loren. Time for another contribution. Scott
  7. Sorry to bother you Loren but I tried the instructions and I'm still lost. What now? Scott
  8. stereo code had to replace my battery. help!
  9. Alright, I'm going to try the cap first. I will update what comes of this. Thanks again for your help. Scott
  10. I had trouble starting my car after refueling the other day. Do you think I should look at my gas cap first? It is aftermarket and I am not the original owner.
  11. Schematic? Please sir. And thank you btw.
  12. 2000 base Boxster stick. Running a little rough. Got P0446 Shutoff valve activated (charcoal filter). And P1133 Multiplic mixture adopt (Lower load B2). Any ideas???? Scott
  13. I'm sure this topic has been covered many times but I had trouble finding a strait answer. I need rear break pads for my 2000 base Boxster. Besides ordering OEM from the dealership are there any second source options that do well? I would like to use a supplier that Porsche used. In other words as close to OEM without paying dealership prices. Regards, Scott
  14. 2000 base Boxster 5 speed manual with 122K mi. My clutch is slipping. Are there any adjustments I can try?
  15. I pulled the other plugs and the remaining 5 looked good. Installed new plugs but it still was misfiring. I took it to my Indy. They replaced the coils and the car runs smooth. They scoped the cylinders and found no issues. They said the fuel was lean in all cylinders and suggested running an additive to clean up fuel injectors and return in a week. They said they have never seen a plug like mine.
  16. Hard to tell. I think they are burned away.
  17. So I pulled the number 4 bank spark plug. I was expecting to see a fouled plug. What I was not expecting to see was a spark plug with 4 missing electrodes. Is this normal? Or let me rephrase that. Is it normal for a spark plug to burn through the electrodes when ran past its life span.
  18. Thanks for the reply JFP. Can you tell me the firing order on my car? And do you think one issue would cause the other? Scott
