  1. This is my first post here, hopefully someone has run come across this before. TIA for advice & comments. Canadian spec 2000 Boxster S, 78,000km ~ 47K miles. Here are the symptoms: Rear license plate lights don't work. One bulb was toast, so I replaced it. Still no-go. No popped fuses in the fuse panel. I haven't yet broke out the mutimeter and tested the circuit, but no bulb illumination indicates in issue somewhere. Are rear plate lights also controlled by the headlight switch directly? Fog lights front & rear also do not work. This I have researched to be caused by a bad headlight switch. I'm wondering if both problems could be cured by replacing the headlight switch, assuming of course the plate light cuircuit tests out OK. All other lighting works properly: interior & dash lights, cluster, radio, high & low headlamps, brake and tail lights. Any ideas or other reasonable diagnostics worth trying? Thanks! BoxsterSteve
  2. I searched and found some ramp designs, but nothing that looks like yours. If you could be so kind, please send some photos & dimensions. You also mentioned a 74 mm 997 throttle body. How does that work for you? My car's original owner had Pfaff Porsche put on an aftermarket exhaust, chip & reflash the DME. Apparently good for 25 extra ponies.

  3. Steve, I'm pretty sure that I loaded some drawings with deminsions on the renn tech site. The ramps work great for me becasue I have a slope in my yard next to the guarage so I can back the 986 onto the ramps for oil changes also, because then the car is perfectly level. If you can't find the drawings get back to me and I'll send deminsions and photos.. just added a 997 74 mm thrott...
