  1. Looks absolutely great ! Who is the manufacturer of the front bumper ?
  2. I do not have the changer, only the built in CD-player and the AUX interface cable. The problem was there also before I installed the AUX-cable.
  3. My CDR22 will run for about one hour, then there will be an aweful noice on the left channel, and only on the left channel. After about additionally 10-20 minutes the left channel is completely dead. When switching over to FM-radio I have sound in both channels, crystal clear. Switching back to CD (or MP3 via the AUX-input), it takes a few seconds and then the noice starts again, only on the left channel. The noice that appear are like a bad radio transmission. Anyone got the same experience ?
  4. OK, I lifted carpet in the front trunk. I have the C4 so the spare wheel is laying down under the trunk floor. I could not find anything. I have the preparation for the CD changer, but I am not using it, and I think to use this space if it is big enough for the amp, or the area just between the wheel house and the "box" for the front differential (or maybee it is the fuel tank). I found a plug at the local audio shop that will fit the low level output (yellow plug on the c-connector) ready with the RCA plugs and the Amp remote connector. Still a lot of cabling to do, so maybee in the end I try to put the amp under the passenger seat. Regards, Niclas
  5. I was thinking of upgrading the audio system during the winter. I intend to keep the CDR22 unit and add a amp and repace the standard speakers, as the first step. Additionally later add the door speakers and potentially a sub behind the rear seats. However, the first issue is to get the sound out from the CDR22 unit, does someone know if the is a kit available from Becker to get the low level output from the stereo ? Before, I think, this could be found on their homepage (www.beckerautosound.com), but now it seams to be redone and this info is not longer available. Any suggestions for amps that would fit in the factory position ? is the cabling from the coupe difficult to the front compartement ? Regards, Niclas
  6. Looks nice ! Do You have the part numbers needed ?
  7. Is it supposed to be on the same spot on the coupe ? (C4 -99)
  8. Thanks ! Do You know also the connections for the phone cable ? I would like to connect that one to my factory phone module as well. Regards,
  9. I just recived the aux cable (1319.116-276), but there were no instructions on which cable should go into which slot in the blue connector. Does anyone have any instructions ? Regards,
  10. Is it the stock system or the sport system ? Regards,
  11. What is the parts and model year do they belong to ? 996 111 237 02 996 111 238 02 996 111 054 02 996 612 978 00 :drive:
  12. I have currently a CDR22 installed in my C4 -99. Is it possible to change to a CDR23 without any other changes than disconnect the old and plug in the CDR23 ? I have the button peel on my CDR22 unit as well as some funny behavior of the CD player (works fine in abot one hour, then the left channel starts to make noice as when you have a bad radio reception, when switching over to radio mode directly everything works perfect!) and the swedish Becker service wants more to service the unit than I would be able to by a used CDR23 unit for.
  13. When I use the footwell switch the spoiler remains up until I take it down with the switch.
  14. Amp, but for which model? Regards, Niclas
  15. I have a C4 -99 with the CDR22 head unit and the standard speakers, two in the front and two in the rear (not the ones in the doors). I have been thinking of installing the amp following the M490 option Is this possible without adding the door speakers ? Does it make sence, will it be an improvement ? Where are the M490 amp placed ? Regards, Niclas :renntech:
  16. Looks like on my C4 -99, got it checked today at the dealer. In my case it was the seals on the plastic inserts around the sparkplugs. My final verdict was to replace the RMS + the 6 plastic inserts. Luckily my car is still on warranty. :jump: Regards, Niclas
  17. Does anyone know if the GT3RS front bumper style is available for the early 996 before the facelift ? I like to more sharper design on the GT3RS bumper.
  18. Will a 2002 rear bumper skin (from the facelift) fit a 1999 996 ? or do I need any additional parts. Regards, Niclas
  19. Could anyone help me with this one ?
  20. I have got a dent on the left rear fender about 10 cm ahead of the rear tail light. I was hoping to get a local company spezialized in removing dents to take away this one. Does anyone know if the rear outer panel is accessible when removing the rear tail light? or do I need to take away the inner plastic fender in the wheelhouse ? Regards, Niclas
  21. After checking in the car there was a relay ("single" size) where the left part of the yellow cross is in Tool Pants picture, two rows above the fifth "53" labelled relay. There are also three cables wired to this place on the backside. These cables are not in the factory loom, so I guess this is done special by the swedish importer. The relay was a BOSCH branded, so it might not be so expensive. Regards, Niclas
  22. OK. Thanks ! Is it easy to check if the relay is OK or do I need to buy a new one and replace to check? Regards, Niclas
  23. I have a strange thing happening. In Sweden we have daytime running lights as well and my 996 had it from the beginning (sold in Sweden). However, suddenly a few weeks ago I do not have this anymore. :o All lights are working when i turn the light switch in different positions (fog light when pulling, parking light and xenon light), however in the "0" position nothing works. My car has the Litronics and in Sweden the automatic daytime light was not including the xenon lights, only the parking light and the front foglights, as well as the rear lights. What I could understand from the hack above there is supposed to be a relay operating the automatic daytime lights on cars that were equipped with this from the beginning. Does anyone know which relay this is ? I have checked the manual but without success. Regards, Niclas
