Tool Pants,This red light stuck on issue did not start until 2001 when Porsche went to the electric lid releases and added a button to the remote.Split the case and remove the battery and put it back in. If the light is still on then buy a new battery and put it in the wrong way for about 10 seconds, then put it back in the correct way.
If that does not work then most likely you have a bad remote.
I removed the battery remote and put it back in and it's working properly.
Thanks very much!
Cheers,
Stan

Hi,
Today I noticed that the red light on my remote is stuck on and the remote isn't working.
I'm thinking it's the battery, any ideas?
Thanks,
Stan

My '02 c2 cab with the hard top in place and 17" snows performs flawlessly in the snow. We had a bit of a snow storm last night and while driving home I did notice one unusal thing, each time the psm kicked in, the radio (am band) went to static.
Also radio related, I use a Treo 600 and each time it picks up gsm signal I hear it through my radio. Is there a way to shield it so that I don't hear it?
Cheers,
Stan

I believe you can buy the parts you need from bumperplugs.com
There is a recent thread with pictures at 6speedonline from a member who recently did the console delete.
Good luck,
Stan
I am going to do the console delete on my 01 C2. Does anyone know the part number for the trim piece that surrounds the A/C unit when I move it to the upper console? -
Hi Chuck,
I have a set of tips that i just removed from my '02 996. Email me and I'm sure we can work out a deal.
Cheers,
Stan

Hi-
Does anyone know what the part numbers are for the factory tips on an '02 996? I have Fabspeed mufflers and tips but would like to go back to the factory tips which of course I sold with the factory mufflers. Thanks.
Would 996 111 252 55 and 996 111 251 55 work?
Or 996 111 981 01 and 996 111 982 01?
Or 996 111 252 59 and 996 111 251 59?
These are all the numbers I can locate. What are the differences?

Hi,
Does anyone know if turbo twist wheels (rears 10" 45mm offset, fronts 9" 50mm offset) will fit an '02 narrow body cab?
TIA

Stan

I don't like it. I would go for a TT or GT2 bumper.

alarm question

Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to activate an audible signal when arming or disarming the alarm.
I often find that I have to go back and check if the doors are locked after walking away from the car.
Cheers,
Stan
