  1. My 996TT will have a thick puff of blue smoke at startup but only occasionally. Two different and reputable Indie mechanics said its normal to have some oil setting in the cylinders after shutdown on these engines depending upon the position of the crank. Most of the time it starts perfectly clear but seems more common in the 35-50F range. I quit worrying and just check the oil regularly.
  2. Now you have me thinking. I have an IR camera, I'll try to jump out and get some pictures to post after spirted driving to see what it looks like.
  3. I have the same issue, LR is sagging to the point where the floor to fender measurements prove it out (RR 1/2" higher), including the RF higher that the LF. I will check shock mount but I have coils sag out before. Anyone hear what the cause of the intial posting was?
  4. Just bought a 2001 996TT so I am thankful for you posting this up. Fortunately I am only looking at the accumulator issue but hope to contribute positively to such a good resource.
