  1. This is a weird problem: very load roaring noise from under the hood that starts at around 65mph and gets louder as I go faster. It seems to be wind related - when it's gusty outside the roaring noise seems to come and go with the wind. So I'm thinking there's something vibrating but all seems well tied down so it's very odd. Could it be the fan freewheeling or something like that? Anyone else heard anything like this?
  2. I have a 87 951, and recently I've had some trouble starting it. Turn the key, nothing - headlights dim to nothing so something is obviously drawing a lot of juice. After doing this for a while, there's occasionally a slow crank which is enough to get it to fire. The battery has been trickle charged and seems OK. My thoughts were dirty commutator on the starter motor or maybe a dodgy solenoid. Any other ideas?
