  1. I want to introduce myself. I have been reading the many informative posts here for over a year now and thought I'd say hello. I am used to wotking on the air cooled P cars for many years and I have come to the conclusion that the water cooled P cars are not all that diffenent. Just have to work through it one thing at a time. Only thing that is different is the use of a durmetric cable to read the codes and there are a whole lot more electrical gizmos. Since I have been reading almost all of the posts I feel confident that I can do most of the work with the help of this group. For that I thank you all. World of knowledge on this forum and I hope I can contribute something worth while some day. My question is as the title hints... I have a 2005 996 turbo S that does not have heated seats and was wondering how much work is it to install factory heated seats inserts into the existing seat? Is it as simple as buying the heat pads, dash switches and relays? I'm guessing that the car is already wired and has the plugs in place and I was hopeful it would be plug and play. Has anyone done this upgrade? I would rather do the same as factory and not do the aftermarket install. Any thoughts?
