  1. Just picked up my '05 987 a week ago and noticed something a bit odd. When I shut off the ignition there is a very rapid (~5-8 cycles/sec.) light ticking sound coming from the instrument panel area. The coolant temp needle also seems to vibrate at the same frequency. The ticking stops after about 3 seconds. There is also some ticking immediately after starting up the engine with the same gauge and then it works just fine. Is this a 'feature' of Boxsters? This is my first. Other than that, the car seems fine for the most part. (Actually, I've also had 2 instances where the radio wouldn't turn on). Thanks, Ted
