Thanks Loren, I assume ( we know what kind of trouble that can cause ) that they hooked up the tool yesterday at the dealer. I'm not convinced that the tech really had a handle on how to use it. He was stumbling around through the menus quite a bit. I have a durametric tool but it doesn't seem to know what dash i have. The car was a late build in 2001. So it "might" have a 2002 dash. I'm getting nowhere with this and the only thing i can think of to do is to try a different Porsche Dealer. Thanks, George

Thanks for the reply, tried that several times. Disconnected the battery for half an hour or so. Can't seem to find anywhere to turn it back on. Dealer was no help, either is the manual. George

I've posted this in both Rennlist and Sixspeed Online and today i had the car at the Porsche dealer and they put it on thier computer. No one there could figure it out either. The problem is I've lost the boost gauge on the dash board. Not even sure exactly when it happened. Usually I keep it on the out side air temp. it just skips by it and goes to the next reading. If some one could enlighten me I would be grateful. it is a 2001 996 turbo. Thanks, George
