  1. Thanks Loren, good info on the LCD bleeding, forgive me for asking but - I am going to replace the entire unit not the LCD and would like to know how to remove the unit from the dash, i did'nt see that anywhere, if I missed it I am sorry and will try to improve my keywords for searching.
  2. Greetings All, just purchased a real nice 2000 Boxster with 50k on it, it has a few minor issues I'm working on - most have been resolved on this forum - thanks for all the info. The last issue I have is the heater/ac control unit - the LCD display justs shows a mirage of lines that looks cool but not very helpful if you want to know what setting you're on. My question is how the unit can be removed from the dash, does it just pop out or do you have to remove the radio or other panels to replace it? Also, does anyone know where the best place to buy one that doesn't cost a fortune? Thanks for any help - it's great to have a forum like this for working on your car. By the way - man there is a lot of conv. top issues - wow!
