  1. Hello all! Perhaps you all know about the Dension Gateway 500, but I'm so happy at the moment because I just had it installed in my car (2003 Carrera 4) For those of you that don't know what it is, take a look at this site http://www.dension4u.de/shop/product_info....products_model= In short, it's a interface between the PCM2 head unit and a Apple iPod. It enables the iPod to be controlled from the PCM (and/or steering wheel) buttons! The sound is transmitted through a optical cable so there's no degradation in sound quality (which is very important to me) I haven't played with that much yet, but if you're interested I'll keep you updated in this thread. Kind regards, Karl
  2. OK folks, I received a e-mail from John at Auto Audio Installations in the UK. Here's a excerpt from it: So, the question I'm facing now is what type of speaker to use ... Dotech  Integra ... does any one of you have any experience, which one has the "best" sound? Please notice that I'm more of a "studio recordings" type of listener than a "basement club" junkie... Kind regards, Karl
  3. I sent a e-mail to the Morel HQ in Israel a few weeks ago when I started to look for the speaker kit. Didn't receive any answer and hence my post in this forum. Judge my surprise and happiness as I've got the following message in my e-mail inbox today: Jim, I assume you're the one to say thank you to... :renntech: :notworthy: I will continue to update this thread as I get wiser. Kind regards, Karl
  4. Jim, I'd be more than thankful to hear about your inquiries at the factory! Anders, I haven't found any Swedish retailers yet but I'll keep you informed if I do :) Kind regards, Karl
  5. I'm terribly sorry about the loss of your car and for the tragic trauma caused to the innocent victims! But as you say, this event do grab some interest as I haven't seen that many pictures of 996's involved in high speed crashes. You wouldn't possible have a picture taken from the side and the interior? Kind regards, Karl
  6. Hello James, Thank you for your replay :) I spoke with my local installer and he said that he had a remembrance of a "special" Morel kit that were developed for the Porsche 996 by Morel in Germany. I guess this is the kit that I've read about in one of the Porsche specialist magazines. Do you know if this is true or not? I thank you for the offer about contact with a installer, but as I live in Sweden it might be a bit out of your reach :P Any help and clues about the actual install is more than welcomed though. I'd really like to get this done as I'm a bit of a "audiophile" and really suffer from the sound of the stock speaker system... In the next coming days I'll get the Dension ICE>Link 500 installed and I plan to make the speaker upgrade soon thereafter. Kind regards, Karl
  7. Hello, Please forgive me if this has already been discussed - I searched this forum but couldn't find any topic about it... I've been searching for ages after a "direct replacement" or "drop in" to the standard speaker system. My 2003 Carrera 4 is equipped with the PCM2 and thus has the MOST. I know that I read somewhere in one of the many Porsche magazines about the Morel Integra Ovation 4 speakers, but unfortunately I can't find the article again :( Has anyone of you any experience or knowledge about these speakers? Perhaps there's other options I'm not aware of  Kind regards, Karl
