  1. Hi guys. My rear tires are at the end of their life. My car brings Michelin Pilot Sport PS1 N1. They are N specifications tires by Porsche. The sizes are: - front = 225/40 R18 - rear = 285/30 R18 The brands with N specs by Porsche are: - Muchelin PS1 N1 (the same I have) . I heat them. They are very noisy and began to be rather hard as glassy. - Continental Sport Contact 2 N2 (I like them, good compromise) - Pirelli P-Zero (Don't want them) - Bridgestone S02 (great tires. Be carefully not to mount "S02A") My question is... I read in this forum lots of users who mounted Non N-specs tires. What can you tell me about them? steering response, treadwear, cornering stability, noise comfort... What is your experience? All of you know that N specs tires have a reinforced sidewall with diferent compound and internal contruction. They are designed to hold the rear train of a 911. A Porsche 911 is a diferent car and needs the best engineering desing. What can you recomend me in Non N specs tires? (brand , etc)
  2. I did a detailing in the car yesterday. One of the things that I did was to get the rubber seals protected I used this product: 1Z Rubber protection. The product has a foam brush to make it easy Just apply the product and two minutes later, retire the excess with a 'ww' ( waffle weave) The seals would get younger and you can drive at high speed with a noise reduction, as a new car
  3. Thanks to everybody A Renntech member called Jorge Boubion sent me a hopeful email . He told me that he is going to purchase the piece. I want to say thanks to Jorge. Porsche forums are full of good persons.

A friend of mine is a great photographer In the pics when I look driving into troubles, my friend did a "good p-shop" I'm not good at drifting and I don't want to see my car being destroyed. I enjoy very much running but al least I prefer to be careful I hope you enjoy watching them !
  5. Hello everybody My car has a little problem: PCM2 works perfectly, but in the telephone module, the SIM card tray is broken. I read that you can repair this issue very easy, but I need the "spare piece". I want to purchase a new SIM Card tray, to repair it, but in Spanish Becker distribuitor don't sell pieces to private persons. Porsche dealer wanted to change the complete PCM2 unit !! :soapbox: I read that in USA Becker dealers do sell pieces :! :! :! Could someone try to purchase this piece for me please? KARTENLESER VMT 6602 I'll send the money cost and will pay the shipping. 6. Yesterday, I drove my car and had a conversation by phone with my girlfriend. It worked perfectly. But Today, there is the same message 'Checking SIM' I get off the card and put into the PCM II again and again, as the first day I used the phone, but It doesn't work What do you think is coming?
  7. In Spain PCM I users who have 16 bits unit, are lucky men. The last OEM Porsche CD ROM maps are referred to year 2.000. But someone found a compatibility with OPEL Siemens/Navteq Spain and Portugal 2.006-2.007 :o :o :o I have a 996 '04 and my last update is referred to year 2.005    PCM I 16 bits owners are lucky in Spain B) B) Why don't you try to search compatibility with other brands?
  8. They fit perfect. I did it in 5 minutes with doble tape This does seem like a great deal and per your experience the quality seems more than adequate. Whe nI try and open the link on ebay for the item, it states the seller has discontinued the item?? Did you purchase thru ebay or direct from auto innovations?? TIA Demosan Not through ebay. Just send an email to auto_innovation@yahoo.com The price is 46,99 $ + shipping They told that Paypal is only accepted in US and I had to do a Money order from Spain thru Western Union
  9. I received the aluminum gauge rings yesterday morning. I fit them in my P-car and here is the result (not a very good pic :P ) I think that they have enough quality to cost not more than 47,00 $ (For those who have interest, I purchased this kit in Auto_innovation@yahoo.com) This is the ebay link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Aluminum-Ga...1QQcmdZViewItem OEM rings are very expensive IMO, and I prefer to spend my money in other important things.
  10. My car had the floor mats in black colour, but the interior was in Metropol Blue. This combination wasn't good enough. One of my best friends, Xavier gave me an OEM Metropol Blue floor mats. Thanks  Javi!! The car looks awesome now! (If you don't order the car with proper interior colour mats included, It would come with OEM black floor mats)
