  1. I received my new top (with glass) from GAHH some days ago (my model is 2001). Unfortunately the instructions that came with it are photo-copies and the quality of the pictures is less than perfect. Furthermore they are difficult to follow. I do not plan to install the top myself. I will take the car to a professional to perform the installation but I want to make sure that he knows what he is doing. A user posted a while back in an other forum, a small fraction of the top installation instructions from www.alldatadiy.com which looked fantastic! Does anyone have those are any other top installation instructions with schematics/pictures?
  2. Attached are pictures of the 2 defroster connectors of my GAHH top (not installed on the car yet). GAHH says that that one connectot is for negative and the other for positive (order doesn't matter; either side can be used for positive or negative). Because I didn't know what to do with the connectors, I took the top to my local Porsche dealer. He quoted the same part number: 986 612 081 01 (part 25 on the schematic attached), which is used for the hard-top's defroster. The dealer didn't have any part in stock and so I couldn't verify if this wire will be compatible with the GAHH top. From the schematic, it looks like the wire has one connector on the one end (for connecting to the socket behind the driver's seat), and most probably 2 (1 for negative and 1 for positive) for connecting the defroster on the other end. Is there any user out there that already has this wire installed who can confirm this? By the way, if anyone needs more pictures let me know. Also, if anyone has any installation instructions for the top please let me know (the ones that GAHH sends aren't very helpfull).
