  1. Loren, I saw your post concerning the amber vs. super blue having the same boiling point. My question is, do you think it's necessary to use Super Blue or Amber for higher speed DE events, or will the factory fill do the job? I have a 2008 C2S Thanks alot.
  2. Thanks guys. WROSS...sorry for the insults we traded a few months ago. It was dumb and I appologize for my part. Thanks for the insight. Skipp
  3. I've read the posts on this topic and would appreciate a clarification. When the computer records type II over revs, does this simply mean that the rev limiter was activated. In other words, is a type II over rev simply hitting the rev limiter anytime at all ? Thanks
  4. Cosmos, Right you are....thanks very much...pulled the box this AM and sure enough the rubber inserts were gone. I found one lodged down in the lower frame area, but one is between here and the take out restaurant I went to last night..... Any idea of a part number to replace the missing one? Thanks, Skipp
  5. I did mine today too...cranks up much better now...when I reinstalled the air box, I noticed the air box wasn't completely tight(you can wiggle the whole box around alittle bit)...I tightened that "one bolt" that holds the air box in place as tight as it would go, but the big plastic air box can be wiggled around a bit. Is this normal? Thanks
  6. I haven't had any experience with the row suspension, but can say the X74 is probably much stiffer. It's factory, which is what I was looking for and it performs very well in my opinion...bought from Carnewal online. Good luck
  7. get an X74 suspension.....my US stock suspension floated alot above 100 mph...recently got the X74....much better...I've only been to 120mph since the install, but it was very stable.
  8. Go with the factory aero kit II...the one designed for your car....keeps it from looking over done.
  9. yeah...I agree about the tint...I've been looking at your tint, seveal times, and it's really not that dark.. Thanks for the input
  10. Russ, Thanks, I found your pedals at the revozsport website..250!!!...you got a good deal. The ones I ordered are the same w/o Porsche written on them...they also have rubber grippie things in each hole. I called the tint guy today...looking for an appointment soon. Thanks for the name. Attache is a picture of my new decal....what you think? Skipp
  11. Have any of you guys found a solution for the 2002 + tops that have the glass rear window...I hate that small window from Gahn, but would like to know of something less expensive than factory that has the glass window? Thanks, Also, Russ, I ordered what I think are the silver pedals that you have....didn't you say ebay? If I remember correctly, yours said "porsche" on the dead pedal....did you add a decal yourself. Thanks Skipp
  12. Russ, The car looks great...I saw it out front one day....who did your tint? I'm getting ready to do it myself. I don't have a code reader, but search for some recommendations. Did you get a factory top or what? Thanks. Skipp
  13. thanks for the reply. I've got the glass rear window.....anyone else got tinted cab picture?
  14. Hi, I'm considering tinting my windows on my Black 02 Cab.....I'd really appreciate if you guys would post pictures of your Cabs with tinted windows, so I can get an idea of the "look"......especially on Black cars Thanks
  15. I just did the same thing yesterday....dental floss to pry up the edge....then pulled it off. To remove the residue, let goo gone sit on the residue then rolloff withyour finers ( back and forth) then clean with more goo gone. "Carrera" was etched into paint on my 2002
  16. 2002 cab 29,000 mile daily driver transmission recall (previous owner) rms x 1 cab top motor replaced passenger seat frame replaced ( loose) interior rattles (felt tape) oil pressure gage replaced air bag light reset cab top pin guides replaced rear wing motor replaced ( squeeking) lug nuts replaced (rusting) Upgrades - X74 suspension ( love it) clear side markers All in all would have thought an $85,000 car would have fewer problems, but still love it and it hauls ***
  17. After reading all these accounts of blown engines on the 1999 - 2001 3.4L....due to an obvious design flaw, do these issues not fall under lemon laws? Any thoughts would be of interest.
  18. thanks for the info guys... i have the v1...just looking for laser blocker
  19. I've been reading the posts lately concerning the laser blockers. Any more commentary as to which company offers the best protection/product? Thanks in advance
  20. Thanks, Let us know the outcome....what is a "core charge" Is this you giving them your ruined engine?
