  1. Was the same with me. Right side noisy . They changed this one and found out, that the main pump on the left was not working.Noise come From right one just because thisOne had to work much more. My advice, check all cable connections or if neccessary change pumps.Dont do it by yourself please.
  2. Oh wonder oh wonder, the problem is solved! What i can say, i had the truck in the shop to replace the fuel pumps. Not because of this idle problem but because of some strange behaviour during full speed driving. And guess what, THE IDLE DIP PROBLEM IS GONE!!! I am so happy. What i learned from this, idle dip problems could be caused by fuel pressure problems. Merry Xmas
  3. Thank you very much. Very good explaining but i guess i cant do it by myself. Sounds like a lot of work. Thankx a lot !
  4. Hi deilenburger No i didnt loose a headlight but the headlight istnt sliding in the right position because this unit which ks shown on the pic is broken in some way.
  5. You was right. I went to change the fuel pump. I believed it was the one on passenger side because really strange noises from there. But, this one was working and only noisy because it had to work much more because the DRIVERS SIDE PUMP WAS FAULTY. It wasnt working at all but not damaged.just a cable there was not connected very well. So for now car is running fine again
  6. Loren i remember you posted a diagramm some time ago which is showing the tubes which could be related to the problem. Do you know where i can find it? Thankx
  7. I went already to porsche explaining the problem but looks like here in the forum guys have more knowledge about this car than all this so called specialists. Last story: i asked to change fuel pump and fuel filter. Answer from shop: cayenne dont have a fuel filter. So far about know how of porsche specialists:-(
  8. I was thinking about this. A leak somewhere but how to find out? How to test if this is the reason?
  9. Hi No i guess nothing to do with speed limiter. If you shift manual in gear 6 the rev isnt that high to hit the limiter. Today i am going to change the fuel pump. Maybe its the reason
  10. Hi. As i know its a very common issue inside the cayenne community. I had / have the same. The drop of rpm is a secret issue for me. We have 2 cayenne s. One has this issue again and again, the other car never had it. This is a miracle for me. We changed coils and plugs, filters. New MAF's and finally in the last weeks a new throttle body. And what you think?! The idle dropping story still continues. So all what i can say, cleaning the throttle body can help you but as you can see in my case, even a new part didnt solve the problem.
  11. So looks like back to the service again:-( this vehikel drives me crazy but ...... I like it . Thanks for all your input and friendly help
  12. Car has regular service. 127.000 km in total. Coils. Spark Plugs. Air Filters. MAF. Throttle Body all replaced and new in the last monthes. About fuel filter i dont know. The never charged one so i guess the didnt touch.
  13. No. Car just came back from service. Got a new throttle body. This behaviour i felt already before. I just dont drive every day so fast but today i drive 200 km highway and at full or high speed you feel it really like a very short interuption. Almost the same feeling if car is looking for next gear for a second
  14. Hi ! As you know in german we dont have speed limits on some highways😉 Driving very fast, means about 240 / 250 kmh the vehikel behavior isnt normal i think. Sometimes it feels like a short cut of fuel or ignition for a split second. You can feel that the engine isnt running straight with the same power. Any idea? Its a 2004 Cayenne S Thank you. Tom
  15. Hi friends. I would like to ask for your opinion. Last weeks we got the coolant pipes replaced (cayenne s from 2004) After this i had several times the PSM light show of and the engine slow down to rpm not higher than 3000. i managed to drive home. Next day it was running fine again, but just for some time. After some km the light came on again and i had to stop the car. Before i return the car to the shop for checking the problem i would like to know, if there could be something related between the work they had done one week ago with the coolant pipes and the PSM problems now. Thank you very much for your input. Thomas
  16. Hello everybody. Regarding the problem you described here, is it neccessary to change the complete control arm or only the bushings? Thank you very much
  17. buy turbo ...better to have it and not need it, rather than need it and not have it. Edited by ciaka, Today, 05:37 AM. Wow. Nice quote :-)
