Was there a specific time or event that made the temperature sit higher than normal?
What temperature did it display when you originally bought the car?
Hi !
When i drive home from the shop yesterday i didnt feel it at the beginning . Just when i enter the city and i had to stop on many Traffic lights i noticed the temp went up really fast
-
Thanks for writing.
Radiator looks good. Coolant Reservoir is at the right level. I am just wondering how possible after having this new water pump Situation got worse.
-
Decided to change the water pump on my turbo. Just in Case of a possible
Failure and because the temp went above middle on low rpm.
Today i take the car back. Driving in city Traffic . Stop and go. Temp went higher and higher
In Directon of red area. Switched on heating to bring temp down.
Called the mechanic and ask him if he refill the System with vacuum Equipment .
Any idea what it can be? Thermostat maybe?

Thankx everybody for your friendly advise. I will buy new ones.
-
Thank you JFP. Went to the shop. Of course they want to sell me a new one. Better 2 new ones .

This is a old post but i would like to ask a related question.
My pano is making from the very first day.
This weekend i try to fix it with a manual mechanism and the special
key which is located under the arm rest-
Unfortunately someone before me was already working on this place and damaged
the screw. Picture left side / passenger side.
Somebody has an idea what i can do?

-
Did you solve your problem?
-
Try hard reset by pushing 1+4+8 at the same time. Take out the fuses . Should solve the GPS Navi Problem
-
I did the Flash for my S and now for my Turbo.
From my experience i can tell you the shifting is much more smooth. Its worth the money you pay.
To find a place where a flush can be done depends where you live.

-
Ok that should be not normal. Is everything working Fine after your update? Except the GPS?
-
I had the same. Disconnecting fuse 9 Until 13 solved it. Dont know for how long it will be
-
I dont have a better News for you. Like a Porsche Guy told me, after every update you will find this signs on the screen. Adjustment can be made only with Porsche PIWIS Programm .
-
So Buddy whats up with your engine? Running again?
-
Hi. yes i did it but thats not a DIY. You need a shop with a special Equipment.

I found a write up on rennlist. Unfortunately the air struts need to be removed for doing this job.
http://rennlist.com/forums/porsche-cayenne-forum/725237-upper-control-arm-removal.html
-
Can you confirm that for replacing this part its neccessary to remove all air Suspension system?
-
Well as I've seen through forums people explain a lot, but no visual aid...
I had same issues like you, but they got worse.
I took my Cayenne Turbo to PepBoys and they replaced the bushings on the lower arm marked in red [17, 18]. These were completely broken. Also inspect the front bushing marked in green [19].
Good luck!
Great write up. Thank you.
I was just going to order this job at my local porsche service point.
They wrote me that they need or remove the entire strut. Cant believe

Thankx JFP.....
Deep seated rust. The bolts will not come of.
I need to destroy them maybe
New water pump, still hot engine
