Long story short my power steeing pump is heading south. I have a new one on hand and hoses and o-rings on the way. So has anyone had to do this yet? It doesn't look very easy to do as it's situated above the aircon compressor.
Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
John
Same with me. Pump is gone. Loosing Fluid and making unusual noises. I guess this part has to be replaced.
You did it by yourself?
-
Thank you very much. Should i bring it to Porsche or to some special electronic shop?
-
RESPECT RESPECT that you are doing all this by yourself. I hope you can solve your problem

I would like to ask again your opinion . I almost bought a new display for some hundreds and decide to take out the Unit before to order . I disconnect and reconnect the old display. What i found out or lets say what i believe the problem is not the display itself. When i install the Unit back in place and switched on it was working. Depending on how much i push the Unit on the left side. I guess the problem is somewhere else. Could it be possible that this a ground problem or something else. The Unit is reacting on some kind of Force. Now it is inside the place where it should be but i didnt let it slide in completely . Any advise is welcome.

I did a transmission Flush today.
15 Liters Fuchs Titan ATF , EUR 110
Gasket and Filter , EUR 30
Flushing and Cleaning, EUR 250
The car runs much much better than before. Shifting up and down very smooth. I did it with my CS and now with my Turbo. I can recommand this 100 %
You should see the black bad smelling liquid which is coming out. This CANT be healthy for a transmission .
-
If i was on your place i wouldnt continue to guess what it could be. Invest 300 GBP and change the Fluid. Anyway your car has some Miles and as mentioned here many times these Fluids are not made for a lifetime. Situation with my old Cayenne S was Similar to yours before i decided to flush the tranny. If you talk to people from ZF they will tell you, Heavy SUV's should have fresh Fluid after 80.000 km. This is what i learned.

PaulH.....
As you can read here there are different reasons for a hard shifting.
Just my advice: get the ATF Fluid changed or better try to find someone who can flush your Transmission. With my cars it was working very well and all shifting problems are gone
-
Your engine is burning oil. How much you need to refill?
-
I need to agree with JFP
I had similar shifting problems like you. I guess it Happens More often when these cars are used in. City driving or short distance driving.
I did a transmission oil Flush and the car was shifting like new after . I Payed about EUR 600 one year ago.
I recommend to do it. The old oil which came out looks soooooo bad. Cant believe that this black liquid could be healthy for a transmission

Looks very nice. Hope you will have a lot of dun with it

For the original poster. It is possible the firmware is corrupt. You might check the version and see if you can do an upgrade.
Thank you dammad for your advice . But how can i find out which Version i have?
Thankx

Exhaust Muffler removal
in 9PA, 9PA1 (Cayenne, Cayenne S, Cayenne Turbo, Cayenne Turbo S)
Posted
I wanted to change my original exhaust Muffler
For a sport Version which i bought long time ago.
I thought this is a DIY job but i had to stop this afternoon.
The Heavy Muffler is Hanging left and right in some
Kind of rubber mounting. Very hard to get it out.
Any idea?
Or i have to disconnect the bracket from
The body of the car?
