  1. Reading your postings reminds me my situation in the past month. "driving issue at 3000 rpm" i tried to explain my problems. In the end the fuels pumps got changed and everything is fine. The car was running on bad pumps but you could feel it in performane and gas consumption that something was wrong. I take back the car from the shop last friday and since than i drove a lot. Highway and city driving. Performance great, consumption much better.

  2. I was told by dealer that pumps should be replaced in pairs but most people don't due to cost

You see it depends with whom you are talking. My mechanic didnt give me this advice. Even they couldnt believe that my problems coming from fuel pump. I needed to push them to change the second pump. Anyway. I payed 1280 euro for 2 pumps, filter and labour. At least i am very happy now about the cars performance.

  3. Sorry if i made a mistake. The car got ONE new pump some time ago because porsche told me the left one is working fine. So they told me not neccessary to change.

After some time the problems started. From the the very beginning i asked thrm to check the work they did in the tank.

After monthes driving arround now with the problem, i asked them to change the other pump too. Thats what they did yesterday.

  4. Maybe someone could help me with this:

Car came from service. I asked to change the drive belt. They did but i feel they maybe did something wrong.

First of all i have something like a wistling noice under acceleration. I feel its coming from engine.

Second when i inspect the belt visual, i feel its not sitting strong.

Can someone please tell my how i can check if the belt is sitting there strong enough. Thank you for your help

  5. Finally my update after some days and some km with

The new battery; everything looks fine.

    Just onother lesson:

The battery is a really weak part in this car. This is the second one within 16 month.

If you drive your cayenne under special circumstances the alternator is not able

to "recharge" the battery. Long winter in germany. Always city driving with lights on, heating system and and and.

If your car is doing strange things, the battery is a possible

Reason. It happens with me now second time.

Spent 150 dollar and the headache is gone.

Thank you everybody for helping me.

  6. Since the occurrence of your problems seems restricted to starting or low speed running I would suspect a low voltage issue: bad earth/ battery/ alternator.

mcbit500 was right i guess. i changed the battery . no problems so far and there is a feeling - maybe placebo effect - the car is driving different.

thank you all for try to help me.

by the way........... first time i pay attention to all the wires and connections under the seat.

there are 2 yellow clips. just one is connected , the other one is closed with a tape.

anyone a clue for what these connections are?

    tom

  7. suprises, more like shocks lol

With our cars you need a good hand or a very good accountI checked the speed sensors. Difficult to reach. Just the drivers side i found. Disconnect and checked. No visual damage. Tomorrow i will install new battery.I was driving arround all day . Stop and go. Parking. Waiting. Highway . Everything. No complaints. I am thinking to take the car to BOSCH Sevice. Maybe they will find anything
