  1. Hi, I'm curious to know what the ideal RPM and speed are for shifting from 4th to 5th gear. I recently got a '97 Boxster and since it has more power than anything I'm used to I'm trying to learn how to gauge it. Usually as a rule I've been keeping the RPM's somewhere around 3500 for all gears. Is this wrong? Is there a guide or consensus? Thanks for the input, Tim
  2. After not driving my '97 Boxster for 6 days over the Thanksgiving holiday I went out to unlock and start it this morning. I pressed the key fob to unlock the car and nothing happened. The light on my key flashed as normal. I tried the button that opens the trunk and got the same result. The alarm indicator on my dash was flashing every few seconds as normal. I manually unlocked the car with the key, started it right up and drove to work. The remote worked fine to lock the car when I arrived. My question is, is this an indication of a low battery (I didn't check the voltage this morning but the car did start right up with no problem) OR does the car go into some sort of hibernation mode after a few days which requires the manual use of the key to disengage it? Thanks, Tim
  3. Hi Brian, did the whole process of getting a key/remote from Sunset and then getting it cut/programmed from your dealer work out? Was your total cost $255?
  4. Hi Richard, thank you for the reply! You could upload the file to rapid share (http://rapidshare.de/) and then send me the file link. Many regards, Tim
  5. Hi, I see the '03 - '06 owners manuals posted here on the site but does anybody have a digital copy of a 1997 manual that they could post? Thank you, Tim
