    hello carrera 4s 2006 143k am going to rebuild the engine and serching high quality piston rings oem parts are very expensive This is my first time rebuilding and wanted to get any suggestions what about NPR pistons any good ?

    we didnt change any vent line just the AOS i will wait some days and see thanks JFP

    Very simple: When the AOS fails, it tends to pull a lot of oil into the intake system. There are a myriad of little nooks and crannies where the oil can sit in the intake, so it comes out very slowly over time causing prolonged smoke unless you pull the entire intake off and manually clean it out. thanks for your reply throttle and plenum has been cleaned twice the problem is The oil in TB/PLNUM bcoz of oil coming from vent line and drops in the intake What is the reason for this amount of oil seep out from AOS Through vent line Which cause the oil in TB/intake As I mentioned above to aos Was changed 2 time Is because of bad ring ?

    hello AOS Was changed twice ( this year ) still smoke coming out from the exhaust ( sometimes left sometimes right and both. Also still the presence of the amount of oil inside the plenum and throttle body The most important question What's the reason for the oil get into plenum/throttle if i've changed AOS twice since last DECEMBER !! vents and hoses all are ok

    Today I saw oil measure before startup was less than bar and was blinking , I went quickly to the dealer and they said that is very normal you have to add 1 ltr every 1000m so they added 1 ltr Now every startup a puff of smoke like small cloud from the pipe Is this normal ? Do I have to worry

    Thanks all for the replies and useful information I notice the amount of smoke when running cold became a few I hope will disappear in the coming days

    Do I have to worry more than that 950 km since aos replaced , Could this be because of the other symptoms ? Btw dealer still telling me smoke bcoz of old aos

    I noticed white / blue smoke comes out at cold startup I went to the dealer to diagnose the problem and told me that AOS must be changed, So AOS has been replaced but smoke still continues to come out morning or when the car parked few hrs. I went to the dealer again and told me the reason for the smoke is a large amount of residual oil in the exhaust/mainfold, Now more than two weeks and still I notice white smoke coming out from both tailpipes , but it disappears after 20 or 30 seconds، I opened throttle body and I saw some oil inside vent line and the plenum. No noise coming from engine carrera 4s 139k km 2006 Any advice or help thank you

    reading by Needle temperature and clean coolant no sign of oil Just came from the garage I saw a few mixture of oil and water comes out from the engine tomorrow i will know the main reason for this mixture I can not stop thinking about this problem because I'm concerned that the cost be too expensive i hope its just cylinder rubber or headgasket

    i always drive the car long time let the engine hot enough and driving it long enough sorry the temp is around 97c Temperature in the city now 46c Noon time the car now in the garage Specialist told me that probably head gasket or cracked head also maybe leaking from oil cooler i will let you know tonight
