That is a riot! I guess it should be flattering to have your car be THE example of nice red calipers. :thumbup: Really nice job and thanks for the directions. Not sure if I will do them myself or send them out... I first want to find out the cost of sending them out. Thanks a bunch! -

Hi! I have a 2001 996 c4. I really like the look of the Porsches that have those red Porsche brake calibers (like the photo below). I don't know anything about brakes but I am wondering if, purely for cosmetic reasons, it is possible to install those red calibers... Where do you get them? What needs to be swapped out? How much are they? I saw some kits that allow you to paint existing calipers. Anyone taken that route? Thanks!!

Hi, I just bought a 2001 996 and I know something is missing from my headlight washer but I don't know what! Here is a picture. Both headlights look like this! Can someone tell me what I need to buy to make it look right or repair it? Thank you!!

I have a 2001 c4 tip and I noticed a couple of things that are a bit annoying: 1- it always starts in 2nd gear 2- there is a rattling noise at 30mph from the tranny when driving it slowish I've read about both of these items on this forum and my understanding is that when driving in stop and go traffic the tiptronic adaption can adapt to unfavorable values (see this thread: http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic...-higher-gears/ Two solutions are often proposed to deal with both of these issues a) drive more aggressively and B) reset the tip adaption through PIWIS. I've now done both and observed absolutely no difference. The third option I've read about is installing a new Tiptronic control unit with updated software to address these issues (again see thread above). My question is this : has anyone on this forum ever done this and resolved these tip issues?? Or is there another suggestion? Thank you!
