  1. I put in a new coolant tank about 2-3 years ago, due to the original one leaking.  I replaced the cap with a band new one and all has been fine.  Lately the cap has been coming loose as the engine heats up and coolant bubbles out of it and smokes like crazy.  I bought a brand new cap, tightened it up before I left for work today, and as I got back in my car to leave, the cap was completely loose.  I drove it for about 15 minutes and the cap was loose again.  Faulty threads on the tank?  2000 C2 Cab

  2. Hey Stretch, yes I did figure it out.  It is a vacuum line to the vacuum reservoir.  with the alternator out, you can see the reservoir and the mounting screw that holds it in.  If you take out that screw, you can pull it towards you and reach the connectors. I can send you a diagram that someone sent to me on another forum to your inbox if you'd like.

  3. I have a 2000 silver C2 Cab. The top is physically in good shape, but its faded and doesn't look so great (It's light grey). Does anyone know if it's even possible, or where I could find some info on how to do it, or who to use? If I was replacing it, I would do a black top, but I just can't justify the cost due to the good physical condition the existing top is in. Am I crazy to even consider this? Thanks in advance for any insights.....

  4. Just over the last couple of days, I've notice my front suspension is a bit squeaky. I noticed it when I was driving in an enclosed parking garage, I hit a dip and you can hear the whole car squeak. It's not terribly hi-pitched, and if I manually push the car up and down with sitting still, I don't hear anything. Im not well versed in the mechanics of the car, but any insight would be appreciated. 2000 Cab.

    thanks!
