  1. Hi there. I have an '01TT that I'm slowly but surely reviving. A current malady is the sunroof. This may be somewhat induced by owner error... The sunroof had always works reliably, yet, strikingly slowly. I figured perhaps I could spray some silicon in the tracks and smooth things out and it would work better. Well, it sort of did. It slid back much faster, but now when it goes forward, it will get to about 1" away from closing and then re-open to about half way. I can coerce it closed by holding the button and then releasing it as the sunroof gets close to fully closed and then pressing it again to get it to close. Also, it notably slows down in closing at about the midway point of closing, but it doesn't stop. I tried running warm water to flush out and gunk in the rails and that didn't help. I also tried white lithium grease and that didn't really help either. It closes evenly, so I'm not of the mind that the track is damaged. What do you think?
  2. I had the same issue with my "red" switch. What I found was that the plunger in the switch was shoved all the way up, so it wasn't working properly. I pulled the plunger back into place and I'm happy to report that for the last several days, my CC has worked perfectly. It's worth a try. You'll need to pull the plunger apart, but it's easy to do. Reply back if you need assistance in doing so.
