  1. Hello. I have a strong vibration that is intermittent in 5th gear at 65mph+. You can feel the vibration begin from the rear of the car and then it feels like the steering and rear of the car is vibrating/shaking. Lasts between 30 seconds to 1 minute. Usually acceleration/deceleration will make it stop sooner. There is no rhyme or reason for when this is going to happen except at 65 mph+ highway driving. The car has 10 mos old new tires and rims. The car has not been driven much during that time; sometimes not being driven for 20 some days and the car is driven mostly in the city.
  2. 1997 Boxster Manual trans... First i had the 0410 and 1411 codes. I replaced the air filter, maf sensor, changeover and check valves, secondary air injection solenoid???. aos and bellows, cleaned intake. drove the car for 20 miles today; first 15 great-no cel. then after i open up the car (80-85 mph) and come to a stop light the cel comes on!! Codes were 1124 with 1126 pending. The following were from the freeze data: 791 rpm 1.1% load value 208 coolant temp 9.3% short term fuel trim #1 -14.7% long term fuel trim #1 7% short term fuel trim #2 -16.1 % long term fuel trim #2 -100.6% for short and long term fuel trim #3 & 4. Any advice/help???
  3. 97 boxster with codes 0410, 1411, 1123, 1125. i have replaced my check and cutoff valves, cleaned the throttle body, and just replaced the maf sensor. car still does not have much low end acceleration and the cel codes are still there. any help??
  4. Well, I did not drive my boxster for a week. I know that the remote shuts off after so many days, so i when i went to open the door manually with key-nothing happenned. The key moved both ways with no resistance but would not unlock the door. i now can't get in the car with the remote or the key; any suggestions??? can i get the front trunk open and disconnect/reconnect the battery and then be able to get in with the remote??? locksmith??? also, i just had the interior door latch replaced (window was not going up/down the "1/2 inch when opening/closing door). of course i never used the key afterwards (rarely use them at all; but each time before the key has worked).
  5. yes, those were the codes that were present. my issue is that the car was running fine when those codes were present. i then changed the changeover valves and am now having this issue. at least the CEL is not coming on!! everything is normal except for the intermittent hesitation. took the vacuum hoses, throttle body, and intake manifold again and reassembled. i thought i had it fixed, but tonight around 2-4000 rpm's the problem came back. not as bad as it was, but still there. also, the temp guage is normal, but the engine seems to be throwing off alot of heat and associated odor around the right rear tire. also, this has always happened while the car was in motion; not at idle.
  6. sorry. 97 boxster w/manual trans. i had the codes p0411; i can't remember the other one (both secondary air induction system). I replaced trhe check valves, cleaned the throttle body and maf sensor. before this the car ran ok; but had a cel light on. now, no cel but the car will feel like it will stall in the first couple minutes of driving (bad enough that i have to pull over and hope the car does not stall. also the car has no power; thus i can't rev out of the rough running). i've gone through all of the posts; maybe a bad maf sensor??; maybe i need to unplug the battery to reset the computer,something i did or didn't do when replaceing check valves, i also replaced the air filter.
  7. I had a CE light; and replaced the check valves. Now the CE light is gone; but when the car is started up while cold the car for the first 2-3 minutes is hesitating to the point where it feels like the engine is going to stall out. The CE light is not coming on. Everything replaced has been rechecked and nothing found amiss; any help??
  8. any idea where i can get the part new and/or used?? and the cost??? also i am looking for the whole interior assmebly or what???
  9. My drivers side door window is working erratically. The window will usually not go down the 1/2 inch when opening and closing. Sometimes it will when i open it and then immediatly go back up; so when you close it the window hits the top and does not seal. Also, the door lock indicator is red and i get the alarm horn beep whenever i deactivate. Any help would be appreciated so i can get this fixed. 97 boxster note: it appears like the door is making a noise like it is trying to lock/unlock and can't. sometimes i can hold down the door lock switch and the light will go off. when i open the drivers door the window will go down the 1/2 inch but will immediately then go back to full up and the door lock switch will then go to red. the pass. door is working correctly.
