  1. at 85-95mph. Yes balanced and aligned... Once I noticed that, it's growing on me. One BMW mechanic told me it's common problem of Porsche/BMW (which I doubt), and sugguested to learn to live with it. The problem is people wasted lots of time and money to find the cure, and ended up with nothing. Anyone experienced same problem with any possible solution? Or any recommendation of good Porsche mechanic (San Jose, CA) who are familiar with this??? :help:
  2. I saw several Speed Lingerie Bras, and RED one looks awesome, but was not that impressed with SILVER one. BTW, secretaznman4u... I have one used colgan black bra that will cost less than your shrink wrap solution in the long run. B) email me if you are interested.
  3. Sounds like leather is the way to go. Thanks for the help!
  4. Thanks Loren, So the second one(996.347.804.64) is not leather? Any comment on leather & leatherette difference on steering wheel? (and also airbag?)
  5. I am confused with 2 different part numbers for 3 spoke tiptronic steering wheel. 996.347.983.29 A28 + color code 996.347.804.64 A28 + color code What's the difference? Anyone? :help:
  6. Excellent instruction from Loren as always. I just want to add two things: 1. Try not to drop the drain screw in a disposal container, it blocked the hole of the container and I had to deal with some mess. 2. I had to let the oil drain overnight, since thin stream never ended. It may/maynot matter, but I heard that amounts to 1 grt.
  7. Thanks Henry. Now everything is clear to me, but for the record, the pic below shows what Henry's talking about:
  8. After amber removal instruction from Henry(thanks), I found some info about bulbs for Boxster; (Silvervision or silverstart, which is silver when it's off & turns amber when on) Front turn signal: 7506 Rear turn signal: 7507A Question: From the internet, only silvervision turn signal bulbs I can find is PY21W(doesn't say 7506 or 7507). Is it the right one? Education please!~
  9. I did exactly what Tool Pants said, but one word of caution; Masking is not very straight forward since it's circular. Keep the spray off the clear plastic lense, it's very hard to clean up. BTW, I prefer chrome ring as in 550SE... Anyone knows where I can purchase it other than stealer?
  10. They came with the door panels I purchased from ebay, so I don't know the part number. I think you can use the part number request forum or call Sunset and ask. They are very friendly.
  11. Thanks! Great tips as always. :notworthy: Now I removed them successfully and they will be painted in silver to match other silver trims. I will post a pic when it's done.
  12. How to remove defroster covers on top of the dash? The workshop manual simply says to unclip after removing alarm readness cover, but I'm not sure if I can simply unclip without breaking it. :help:
  13. That's definately DIY, but I have different opinion. Contrary to what I read before, I didn't experience any noticable improvement. I sugguest you to listen to someone else's first. I also heard it makes noticable difference only if you connect directly to 996's 6X4Amp(most people connect to radio unit).
  14. Non sense. One of my friend replaced the rear window for $400 and turned out to be great. The problem is they have to remove the whole top to replace the window anyway. You have to make sure if they have experience with Porsche though.
  15. I just replaced the silver handle. You need to remove the whole panel for sure. Sorry for the bummer, but it's very easy to do though.
  16. Anybody experienced this? Is it DIY fix or for stealer?
  17. I'm glad to find this topic, and here is my question: Removing the center console is easy, but I'm scared to remove the stuff under it (the highlighted portion in the pic). Any advice or sugguestions?
  18. Get Klasse. Best quality, easier to apply, and last longer than any other product I've ever used. Your Porsche deserves no less.
