  1. Can Someone please tell me how I can remove the cubbies, radio, AC controls and batwing from the Center stack, I would greatly apprecite it.

By the way if its possible I want to hardwire my Magellan Roadmate 500 for power and audio. What materials do I need for power and where do I get it from. ( I already hardwired my V1)

    0. Pry out button panels(left & right) from bottom to top

    1. Radio - pull out using the radio removal tools as Loren said.

    2. AC - pry out the AC surrounding bezel , remove 2 screws on the top(left and right).

    3. Batwing - prying out the leather paddings, in turn, the batwing from the side.

I head Magellan sells the wires, but never seen one.

  2. They have just brought out a new version of the operating system which has a lot of new features including being able to choose the shortest, quickest, walking or cycling routes.  Also if there is a toll bridge, tunnel or road on your route it gives you the option of going around it.

So the newer version of OS is included in 'current' TomTom GO Plus? Or do I have to wait for new one for 'quickest' path?

  3. Sorry for a question about aftermarket stuff, but anyone have experience with "TomTom GO Plus" or "Garmin StreetPilot c330"? Are they basically same? Looks like I can get much cheaper price on TomTom, but someone claims TomTom gives 'shortest' path instead of 'fastest' path...is it true? Any comments will be appreciated!

  4. Its a bit of a mission to r&r the dash.  If you do take it on, make sure you stay organized.  Toughest part is remembering which bolts go where. When you're coming out with the dash take it slow, if it feels like theres resistance, then double check to see if you forgot any screws.  Also when you're going back in with the dash, make sure you have all your wires routed correctly and are not pinching anything between the dash and the body BEFORE you go to screw the thing back in.  The wire for the sun sensor is very easy to forget, then when you get just about everything installed you go to install the sun sensor and you've got no wire.  I've done it, so trust me on that one.  The first dash I did probably took me around 8 hours.

I'm more motivated now with your tips and advices, in addition to Loren's comment. :)

Do you have any instructions or pics? I have workshop manuals, which look good enough for me to get going, but I want to collect any additional information as much as possible.

    MOD IS DESEASE!
